He was amazing today! He should have well over 30 TD's when the season ends. Crazy. Too bad the defense is so bad. This should be a very interesting off season, which has unfortunately become our super bowl.

Actually no, that standard was not able to book a "W'.

Bortles needs to strive for an even higher standard if he wants to win some of these next few games.

He has a lot to make up for out there on the field.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

This was the last checkmark for Bortles this season. Show us one perfect Brady-like game. A game where we can point to that says "Hey, The Jags have a QB that can Dogfight in the air". What was shown today is worth more than the win and worth more than a 1-week invitation to the playoffs.

Its something that could snowball. Bortles will truely believe he can be that top 5 or 10 QB in the league and now his teammates im sure will really believe it. It might make them want to work even harder knowing they have a top tier QB in the making.

It might even make Caldwell swing for the fences this offseason and give us new linemen, A shiny new Z receiver, and a new kicker.

Can't wait to see whats next.

I'm confused...why do we need a receiver?  I think they are the strongest position group on the team and only getting better.

I agree with the first part but I think Caldwell swings for the fences and blows up the defense except for smith, puz, house, and marks and fowler, and Colvin. And maybe cyp. And myers should be gone tomorrow. If he does his job the game would have been tied.

Nobody can blame this season Blake Bortles!

He is currently 3rd in the NFL in passing touchdowns with 27 (a franchise single season record)!  Brady is 1st place with 4 more TD than Blake, and Palmer with 2 in 2nd!

He is currently ranked 6th in Passing yards, and he has a chance of being only the 2nd QB in Jaguars history to break 4,000 passing yards this season!

Seems crazy but its true. I think the last thing for Blake to eliminate is turnovers, and maybe bring up the completion %age and he will be elite. Its sad to see his numbers and realize your defense/coaches are so bad you are still 4-8. lol.

Brady has 31 TD's, NFL.com takes awhile to update the season stats after the games.  Regardless, Bortles is 3rd in TD's and 6th in yards.  Could end up in the top 5 in both categories before the season ends.

Lol@ the guy saying we need a shiny new receiver!

Just WOW!!!

We have a top 5 WRIGHT who leads all WRs with 11 TDs and over 1000 yards. And we have another WR that is on his way to 1000 yards with 7 TDs.

To think he did this today without help from the Def. Also did it almost all with just Arob. No Hurns today and Lee still did nothing, Greene had the TD play(which helps of course)  and Walters had 2 catches. But think about when the whole team clicks and not just Blake and AR15?

Also Yeldon played well in the receiving side of things but still was pretty quiet on the rushing side, however if Yeldon is getting more touches and getting more yards that may bring Blakes stats down a bit but I mean... man this team has so much talent....

End ramble.

We would have won the game if our center was better at snapping the ball. I want Dave Caldwell to draft one and try again at Alex Mack.

That is the majority of our defense. Four replacements is not exactly "blowing up" that side of the ball.

He needs to average just over 181 yards for the next 4 games to get to 4000 yards. Very doable. Couple that with him all but eclipsing the 30 TD mark and he could be Pro Bowl bound.

Greene also looked better on punt returns than he did last week.

Julius Thomas screwed up Blake's stats by slipping on the grass. Stay upright and he catches that ball.

No way is Blake going to the Pro Bowl this year. However I do expect him to get voted in eventually.

We need a better offensive line to provide a running game to balance the offense.  We need a defense that can stop a team on third and long.  Then the wins will come.  Blake is one of the few  bright spots right now.

And somehow we lose with those numbers.

I hate our defense, I hate our coaching staff, and I hate Myers.
