Aaron Colvin Jaguars best DB?
|
I met Aaron Colvin today for 1st time. Him and his lady came to J Alexanders at Towne Center today. I
work for Ameriparke Valet company and parked his Jeep. He was very nice and I told him he's are best Db. So my question is do you agree with me? He sadly leads Jaguars in sacks. Like to see some Interceptions but the whole defense needs too. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
What did he say when you told him that?
Aaron Colvin has definitely been our best cornerback. Better than Jonathan Cyrpien, I don't know about that.
Talent wise? absolutely. On field wise, this season? I think House has out played him so far.

Quote:Yeah probably, however, I think he would be much better suited in the slot.I totally agree. All the talk during offseason was how he was teams best nickel back option. I feel like i remember Gus saying it but instead its been mostly Gratz.

How many defensive backs do that? House is good but seems to have a hard time with very fast receivers. DeAndre Hopkins burned him. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:The problem is that many corners have a hard time with very fast receivers. LOL It makes me wonder why NFL scouts don't want corners and receivers to run almost identical speeds in the 40-yard dash. Receivers are always faster. It wouldn't matter if they ran identical speeds. They aren't doing identical things.

Quote:Since when does Jonathan Cyprien play CB? The question is who is our best defensive back. Cyprien is a DB.
Quote:I thought you were confusing Cyprien as a CB again. I read the subject title - DB, not CB.
Quote:I read the subject title - DB, not CB. Why don't you know if Colvin is better than Cyprein? They are both DBs, but since they play different positions, I am curious to see how you would compare them. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I love seeing him rush the QB. How many defensive backs do that? Rod Woodson had 6 sacks in 1992 past mid of his career, but you don't usually see that occur for a corner in his 2nd year (neither do you see a corner that can play both inside & out in his 2nd year which is almost his rookie year due to injury). Aaron Colvin shows promise as a good corner should he continue to improve this year & into next year. House is decent, but thats about it when it comes to the DBs.. of course lack of pass rush is a huge concern too.

Do you know who the better one is? Probably not. The two positions are more similar than different. Both cover wide receivers and tight ends. Both have to chase down ball carriers. Both intercept passes. What is different? Their positions on the field more than anything.
Quote:Do you know who the better one is? Probably not. How do you campare them to see who is a better player? |
