Praying for Time by George Michael was the #1 song in the US.  Show Me Heaven by Maria McKee was the #1 song in the UK.  That one I haven't heard of.

 

The link at the bottom will send you to being able to find the #1 country song when you were born.  Mine was Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks.  Which is my 2nd favorite song ever and Garth Brooks is my favorite artist ever.  I was obsessed with Garth Brooks in my younger years.
