His tackling got alot better. Still takes crazy angles sometimes.

Definitely. He's improved a lot over the last couple weeks and has become less of a liability.

Gotta give him credit because I've been talking [BLEEP] about him forever, but he's played good ball lately. Need some game changing plays but he's doing recognizable plays these last few games.

It was house that took the bad angle on Marriotta TD, not Cyp.

I did not think he was a liability at all last night. This guy is good.

Thought it was Sergio Brown

There was one terrible angle and one late angle, both of which impeded Telvin from catching him.

Sergio was one of them, can't recall who the other was, though.

That said... Mariota is fast... and it's not like he had been running all night for them to get a read on just HOW fast, which likely led to the bad angles.

Was it Sergio or Cyp who bounced off of Walker when they tried to just throw their body at him instead of tackling him early in the game?

He saved the game in London and has been playing solid up to this point. He's done this before though, and eventually goes back to his old ways. Hopefully he can keep it going and we won't have to worry about his side of the field.

That touchdown really showed it, its strange he doesn't use it more.  Kinda plays like Aaron Brooks

Go Jags!

2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

It was House with the bad angle that came flying in and kept Smith from making the tackle.

Cyp just couldn't beat him to the pylon while Marriotta was already in mid air.

Sergio Brown is who you're mistaking House for.

Both Brown and Cyp took poor angles and just flat out got finessed by Mariotta.

It was definately sergio 38 who cut off telvin with a bad angle. House was on the opposite side covering the outside wr

Cyp was being blocked by the tight end and tried to make a play at the pylon. He did a poor job of recognizing what was going on, and was thrown back about 5 yards

This. Was about to post it but Brown just layed out in pure desperation and made Telvin slow up, had he not been so reckless Telvin rips him down at the 3 yard line or so.

Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Total Bull. Cyp was covering a receiver, which was his first job, once he saw Mariota was running he turned loose and went for the QB. He was then blocked, two other jags were NOT blocked and still Cyprien got to Mariota at the same time they did, as he was stretching over the pylon. I don't know what else Cyprien could have done, maybe play 1 against 11? He outplayed every other Jaguar on that TD. Sorry he couldn't  do it all himself.

He saved the game by a great tackle stopping the titans 6 inches short and getting the ball back to us, he took out the knee of their Running back who was iced up after a flying missle hit.

It was one of Cyprien's best games, and he was all over the place as was Poz, except Cyp was faster getting there.

What more do some you people want?

He would be a clear starter on any team and is one of our best defenders on a solid defense.

What a lot "fans" did was write him off because of Rookitus, and no matter how improved he is somebody will talk about his "bad angles",

it's such crap. He has turned into a fine safety and one that brings the pain at that. Be thankful he is here.

He's never played as well as he's been playing the last few weeks. So maybe he really has turned a corner in his development.

He didn't get blocked, he got manhandled. His job once Mariota became a runner was to seal the outside and force him inside to the linebacker and safety. He played his lane poorly.

BUT Sergio should've cleaned it all up but I think he underestimated mariottas speed

FIU is like a glorified high school. It's just taken time for him to adjust to the NFL.

I have to agree.  He actually is tackling and not diving at air
