The NFL

I just can't trust it anymore. The league. Last week when the Chiefs and Lions played in London the game started at 9:30 eastern time, and I thought "Wow that sucks for those fans because neither teams play in an eastern time zone". I don't trust that the NFL cares about it's fans. I lost a ton of trust today because the officials (NFL employees) seemed to be calling a one sided game. Albeit that that does happen from time to time. What pissed me off more was the fact that during the halftime show the only thing that was being talked about was the Thursday night game Jets v. Bills on the NFL network (NFL owned btw). It's just fishy and annoying that the league has a horse in the ratings race. Why wouldn't they try and make the stakes higher on Thursday? I know it's a rant, and I'm sorry. If you feel similar let me know, and if you disagree I like to have my faith in a league that I used to love restored.

Ha no lie, when I was a kid I always thought NFL was rigged like wrestling. I remember when the Pats won after 9/11 I thought it was the NFL trying to bring America together and such....

Detroit is in the Eastern Time Zone.

Being that this was a Chiefs home game, I had no problem from a Lions fan perspective when the game started. The Lions horrific performance in the game is another story.

Many Chiefs fans understandly were upset that not only did their team lose a home game, the game was played at 8:30am Central Time. Yet, after the result, I'm sure the vast majority of Chiefs fans were happy. Especially, those that are also Royals fans.

I just chuckled. Everyone loves a conspiracy theory. And "trust? What does that mean? Yeah, the league is not the same as it was in the 70's. Not surprising.

And I love the 9:30 games. And funny how the losing team's fans usually think the officiating was one-sided. Never seems to be that way when they win.

Anyway, there are plenty of other sports to follow - but I'm guessing you'd have similar rants regarding them also.

Of course its rigged, always has been.

I don't know about rigged. But think about this: Ref sees a 50/50 play or a judgment play, he can pretty much choose which team benefits. It wont be overturned, because "insufficient evidence" and the play "stands".

With that said, what was this thread about again?

It was just weird that the refs stopped the game to have a weird ref pow wow while the Jags were building up momentum. That Brandon Marshall TD was a huge no catch as well. I hate feeling like the calls never go our way, but I guess I'm not allowed to be frustrated. Holding on the jaguar fan!

I think those calls come down to benefit of the doubt. Like in baseball, where the long time dominant pitcher gets the close calls on pitches, and the struggling kid doesn't. It's a psychological thing. It's the Jaguars so no way did Walters catch that pass.

If A-Rob did the very same thing at the end of the game you would swear blind it was a catch. It was a catch in my eyes.

I don't think it was obviously a catch, however I certainly don't think there was enough to overturn it.

The Walters play, on the other hand...

Good lord this fits so well. Gus Bradley (and by extension, the team) are Main Roster Bo Dallas. Inspirational, always telling everyone to try their best and just Bo-lieve, then they go out and lose basically every match.

Well done sir.

Can't believe they didn't give it,Antonio Brown had a similar toe dragging catch except his toes were literally centimetres from the line...of course he got the call.

Anyone who thinks the NFL isn't rigged is flat out wrong.

There is big money on the line from the higher ups and it has a significant influence.
