Any chance we have of turning it around and having a legitimate shot for the division is.............

We have to trade for a pass rusher. I dont care how, i dont care what it costs, we need a big time pass rusher. The opportunity is there for us to jump on the division but we wont get it if opposing Quarterbacks still have 6 seconds to throw and torch our defense.

Hypothetical --- Bortles for JJ Watt

Would you do it?  Would the Texans do it?

Who would you want to trade for? It would have to be a solid rusher on a really bad team. Even then it will probably be a guy that is just decent and nearing the end of their career. No team is going to trade an above average pass rusher that is in their prime.

No, quarterbacks are more important than pass rushers. And having JJ Watt didn't help the tinhorns much last year, so why should it help us now?

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a move made, but it would have to be for someone who looks to have a few years ahead of them still. Despite the comical position we're in at 2-5 and the division still within reach, this is NOT a team that is "one player away" or needs to trade away a fortune to better the pass rush THIS year.

There are so many good pass rushers on the trade market, I will be disappointed if the team doesn't make a move.

The team drafted a pass rusher, Fowler, with a first round pick that they will have next season.  I don't believe it is a good move to give away valuable assets (solid players or future high draft picks) for a pass rusher this year.  I don't think some team is going to give up a good pass rusher for what I would want give them.

Why are you so sure? If one is available, it will probably be an overpaid has-been like Jared Allen.

You would have to target someone on this list who will not be resigned or franchise tagged or someone on this list who will become a cap casualty in the spring.  On top of that you would have to give up a top draft pick, like at least 3rd round or better for the first list. Lastly, you still need to sign them to an overpriced contract.

And he would of helped. We could of used the Josh Scobee pick for him.

Teams with legitimate pass rushers are always looking to trade them away. Why haven't we done this already?
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
