Check out the Jags Wired video of Colvin mic'd up. Love the intensity and really like his mentality considering he's only a second year guy. He yells "show me something!" and then goes out there and does it to seal the win. Playmaker

He's an exciting player to watch.
Last year in his second game against the giants (he was drafted injured and had to heal from surgery) he recovered a fumble when another player hit the receiver and he ran it back for a 41 yard TD. Did the crowd go crazy! This was right in front of us in the SEZ and since then my wife has had a whole 'nother view of Jaguars football. Thank you Aaron.....you're a PLAYER......light a fire under these guys

Quote:And preseason means exactly what? Nothing. I think Colvin is great. But people around here were calling him a bust from that one play against Detroit
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Colvin's one of the few Jags players on defense who plays above the Xs and Os. Smith's the other. The offense is tracking well and will be actually good in the 2nd half of this season and into next season if it isn't already. The problem's obviously on defense. This defense is historically bad. I hope we can get Joey Bosa or another stud pass rusher to team with Fowler's return from injury and quickly turn around this defense. The good thing is I think it's easier to turn a defense around than it is an offense. We just need to focus the entire offseason on defense.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:He reminds me of Charles Woodson Cyprien reminds me of...I have no idea, I think Don Carey made more plays than him. ![]()

Hopefully he keeps improving, he had a good game against Buf with their best WR out. Lets see what he can do against the Jets Marshall and Decker! Would love to see McCray on one side and Colvin on the other with House at nickle
I said it during preseason and i'll say it again after everyone said Colvin was overrated, he is the best overall DB they have. He tackles, sacks the QB, and does a good job in coverage.

I think this is why he's #1 in the depth chart. He's not the great cover guy that some are making him out to be, but he's good there. And when you factor in his ability to play the run, solid tackling in space, and the ability to blitz, you can see why the coaches like him. But the Charles Woodson comparison? Come on now. That dude is going to the HoF. Pump the brakes.

I think at this point im judging more based on the few times they have played man coverage. Every other play i see, the CBs 10 yards away from the WR then try to play keep up. With a better scheme, guys like Colvin, House, and McCray would look way better. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
