Vernon Hargreaves III

You think a top 5 pick is too high for him?

If he was two inches taller and 15-20 pounds heavier, he might be the first positional player off the board. I think his size is the only thing that would keep him from being a top 5 pick

i dont.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

too small and Bosa and Nkemdiche and the tackles are too good. Not to mention the what will likely be the top 2 QBs.

Not if he is the best defensive player on the board when they pick. The Jags clearly need to focus on defense and should be picking between pick 3 and 7. If I were Caldwell, I'd take the guy who appears to be the best playmaker. They need playmakers on defense. It could be Bosa, Ramsay, Hargreaves, or one of the linebackers like Jaylon Smith. It looks like Telvin Smith is a playmaker and Marks was last year. Add Fowler and the 1st round pick and the defense will be much improved.

I would also throw a boatload of money at Gipson because they need a free safety. Cyprien looks like a bust so I expect Sample to be the strong safety next year.

I want to see him at the combine but currently I would say no

Didn't one of the top two quarterbacks break his neck? That is going to make him drop in the draft.

You named two players. FYI 2 < 5. So obviously those two guys and Vernon Heargraves can all be top five picks.

Don't forget we drafted Dane Fowler this year. With him next season I would reverse that. But of course either pick would be good.

RAMSEY-BOSA-VH3 are my top 3 in order

If you believe you have a shutdown corner in the draft, you take him and you don't look back.

With Marks & Fowler back at 100% and Poz being replaced by someone who can cover, this defense could make a 180 degree turn next year.

I'm still of the opinion that the Jags must upgrade their pass rush as a top priority. Fowler will be back next year but if he is too disruptive as we all hope he can be he'll be double teamed.

The team desperately needs to add another pass rusher IMO and I don't see one in FA

Add a starting corner in FA like T. Johnson

Bosa is still currently my #1 but afraid he will be off the board

So much happens between now and the draft. This time 2 years ago, Bridgewater was the "clear cut" #1.

Probably true.

Believe he was referring more to the fact that players will rise and fall

Clowney actually was the #1 pick. He was expected to be the first pick since before he was eligible for the draft.
