I should have mentioned the we would still be under the 2017 cap by almost 28 million though they should spend 18 million of that helping to front load contracts.


Our 2018 situation would be about 40 million under the cap plus any increase in cap by the league.

I would sign the best guard in free agency: Kevin Zeitler, if not resign Beachum and move Albert to guard. Sign Logan Ryan for CB or Stephon Gilmore because AJ Bouye will be hard to sign in my opinion. Sign Donta Hightower to play SAM and kick Jack inside. Cut Poz, Roy Miller, Davon House, Skuta, and Lewis. Make a possible run at Michael Bennett TE? Keep Lewis, he is a good veteran. Draft Jonathan Allen or Solomon Thomas. If we were to find a good pass rusher in free agency then I would draft Leonard Fournette.

I wouldn't cut Marks or Miller.  If they feel Miller won't get back to 100% then fine but Marks got better as the season went on and Miller is still a monster if healthy.  Marks and Miller are both still good players

You are selling Marks short.  Marks was coming off an ACL injury and started the season off slow but you could tell as the season went on he was getting his strength back and started to play much better down the stretch.  You act like 4 mil. is a lot of money for a 3 tech that can put pressure on the QB and is good against the run.  Who can you get for that price tag that is better?

Everything I've read on him says he was the best S Arizona had last year and played well both in coverage and in run D. I'd say that's better than Cyp.

I like you plan but am thinking that Dante Fowler Jr. is going to be primarily at SAM so no need to get Donta Hightower. Would not cut POZ.

He's not worth 4 million. He's worth quite a bit more and he'd get it elsewhere if he were released.

I would definitely sign (overpay) Kevin Zeitler and do the same for Safety Tony Jefferson. I see no need to go after Calais Campbell. He's either a 3-4 DE or a 4-4 UT. We aren't a 3-4 team and we're already set at DT. I probably also look to sign a QB like Nick Foles, Josh McCown or perhaps Jay Cutler if he is cut. I sign them to a 2-3 year deal to provide competition for Blake Bortles, since I have no intention of drafting a QB from this awful class. I also look to add some TE depth and Jack Doyle would be my target. I think this kid can be a solid NFL TE. I try to sign DE Jabaal Sheard as well, but I wouldn't overpay for him. I try to sign CB Stephon Gilmore or Logan Ryan, but if they prove to expensive, I re-sign Prince Amukamara. We have a ton of cap money and I wanna get the best possible players. Make no mistake though, Kevin Zeitler is my main objective. I don't care whether I have to make him the highest paid OG in the league. He'd be a Jaguar.

In my original post I suggest we sign Calais Campbell. We already have Malik Jackson and Abry Jones. Calais Campbell and Sheldon Day would give is one of the very best groups in the NFL.

I admit that I have no idea since ( with the exception of Eric Berry and they Honey Badger SS ) has been so severely underpaid compared to other NFL positions.
