Bortles first 5 starts last year compared to this year

#1

I am just sitting here bored so I thought I would compare Bortles first 5 starts last year and compare them to his first 5 this year

2014

118 of 184 for 1161 yards and completing 63% of his passes (78% against San Diego) with 4 touchdowns and a whooping 10 INTs and 6.22 YPA

2015

108 of 189 for 1299 yards and completing 57% of his passes but with 10 touchdowns and a much improved 4 INTs with a 6.87 YPA.

The completion percentage is down a considerable amount but I also feel like they're taking more shots deep to Robinson. Other than that its great to see the TD/INT ratio flipped like that and the YPA up.

Keep improving Blake!

The QB has great potential which is a huge positive, but so many negatives on this team after going 1-4 heading into week 6.

All we need to do is fix the obvious blunders surrounding this team...

The potential of our young core (Bortles, Yeldon, Hurns, AR15, Linder, Smith, etc) is very promising. We seem to have the most important position in place, as the QB, and he is making very good progress with what he has been given as a team.

and I think we have great promise in TJ Yeldon at HB.  He has proven to be an every down back, good in pass protection, able to run routes & catch (his first TD was caught not run), and if the OLine & WRs can block a bit better for him his YPA will increase.

I think that the RG is solid in Linder (once he returns next year from his surgery if he is able to still produce at the same high level), and Cann has been doing a good job as a rookie.

The Defense really worries me the most as the young talent is struggling at several positions.

I agree with this.  I feel that if we correct those mistakes and this team continues maturing and playing like experienced players finally, then Bradley will still be the coach at the end of this season heading into next.  Well, even with all of the improvements we've already fired him per say so will be in a new system regardless.

Season Tix, Section 409

2023 and still counting.....SB will finally be ours soon enough.
