Well at least he has finally said something. Even if it maybe too late. its better than going down pretending everything fine. This season really should have been different. I understand we have games left but its been a hard start in the W/L column.

Well it probably has to do with the fact that the talent on the roster the past years under him has been the worst in the league due to them completely starting over. So he knew they were going to be bad. Now when we are supposed to have enough talent to win and we still aren't that's where the frustration builds against the coaches.

I'm not on my computer to type exactly what I want, but I think when the post mortem of the Bradley demise is analysed, his approach that wins were not prioritized will be one of the root causes for his failure.


Preaching competition and improvement while downplaying losing is a mixture that results in mediocrity and complacency.

I agree with this. The 1st two years saying just get better and don't worry about losses was dumb. It's always about wins and losses in that league. Him saying that is what made me turn against him in the 1st place. That's loser talk.

When you're that depleted of talent - you're not winning. Bradley took the correct approach and didn't want to stress out his players with W/L's. Letting them grow and mature as a player was huge for their development. Now we're seeing the benefits of that, and what we wanted to see three years ago - a football team that competes their tails off.

They lost to a lousy team because these young players were never forced to really think about winning.

It is the closest thing you will probably get to him yelling after a poor performance.  When you look at the stats of this game or even this year, it would appear as if the Offense isnt the problem. 

It is true that this defense is horrible but I would argue that the offense isnt as good as the stats would show either.  I mean third down conv only 25% while one of the worst teams in the NFL was able to get 45% on 3rd downs?


The Defense cant even stop the pass and we thought was good against the run until they went against a team that had to run and was able to do it with ease.

 

The Offense fumble from Grant, and Bortles INT which both led to scores doesnt help the defense but that wasnt all of the 38 points that TB was able to score against the weakest DBs in the NFL.  For three years under (Defensive Guru) Gus Bradley the team has ranked #32 in INTs all three seasons.  That along with many other reasons such as not even being able to go above .250% winning is why it is time to call for the firing of Gus Bradley.


Hey I like the guy, he's a great guy to go have a beer with and maybe a great DC (who knows if he was demoted maybe he might do good) but as a HC he has proven that he blows.

Yeah, because they are all hurt. We used to have a O-line this past week looked like last year. We really need some players back - defence depth is gone and they can't stop the run.

I think we need a new strength conditioning coach.

To be fair neither hasselback or Winston crushed us. Winston was pretty much a game manager because we couldn't stop the run and hasselback had one good drive where we played like crap and gave like 50 yards of penalties. We definitely deserved to lose how we played overall but we didn't lose because their QBs.

Also, according to the link below, this year's offense and defense quality are the 2nd worse in franchise history, only 2nd to Mularkey's season.

The Points Against (especially considering HC Gus Bradley is supposed to be a great Defensive minded coach) is alarming how can you remain the head coach having 449, 412, and currently 145 points against on track for another 400+ this season and only average 3 wins each year?


I would be suprised if the DC is only the one fired after this year and HC Gus is retained... 

you cant be this bad every year and keep everything the same... whats the point then?
