The 49ers were set to hire Adam Gase until he threatened to fire Jim Tomsula to get his own defensive line coach. They thought the only way to prevent that from happening was promote Tomsula to head coach. Thank God Shahid Khan is smarter than that.

Kaepernick did not suck when his coach was former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh. Now with former defensive line coach Jim Tomsula, he obviously does not get the coaching he needs anymore.

Kap was never very good, that defense would carry him. Now that they all either retired or got arrested, hes not able to be the game changer because the defense is bad.
