As a QB becomes more familiar with the offense and the receivers, he has more opportunity mentally to look off his receivers.  I think with time in a system, the QB can "kick the locking in on a WR habit". 

 

To say Caldwell hasn't put in resources to give BB passing weapons is ridiculous.  Julius Thomas was paid major dollars for his blocking prowess.  Lee and ARob were highly touted WRs coming out of college, with Lee also winning the Biletnikoff Award in college.  He made an unsuccessful attempt to sign Cobb.  Although not a pass target, he overpaid for Parnell, to give BB a closure to the turnstile known as last year's right tackle spot.  Two of these pass catcher upgrades are having availability issues, which wasn't seen in Dave's crystal ball.   

 

Does Dave have more work to do...yes.  But, he has given BB many more weapons.

This regime (imo) has failed to put adequate playmakers around their young/raw QB. Going into the season with Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, and Allen Hurns as Bortles primary outside weapons is unacceptable. It's frustrating because Derek Carr and Bridgewater have the requisite talent around them to succeed, Blake doesn't. 

C'mon Man you can't say that both guys you just named isn't any better. Their season is still up in the air.
