Is Julius Thomas Set To Make Debut?

Yeah, but you know how it is...

Wow didn't realize we had so many orthopedic medical specialist here(don't know how they made it through 11 years of college with their writing skills). Also not sure why these specialists are blaming anyone besides JT(I am not) because he is person who has final say about what is done to his body. After that he has to get medical clearance from HIS Doctor to be cleared to play. Especially when JT elected to go to the specialist of his choosing. Guess these specialist are forgetting all of these facts.

JT seems like a baby and jags seem stupid having him wait out that extra week or so before surgery

God this team frustrates me

Also, Julius Thomas was saying he won't be back until the Houston game, for what it's worth.

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:Arial, sans-serif;">I showed y'all that 10 days ago. Julius himself said most likely week 6 to a fan while signing autographs after the Dolphins game. This week was extremely unlikely all along.

And? That same guy also said he saw Justin Blackmon at the airport.

Mike Tiscione needs to go work for the Times Union because he breaks more Jaguars news than anyone else.

I know in reality maybe it sounds far-fetched but maybe Gus and co. held Lee out so our offense would be near 100% for the 1st division game? If we have Lee, Robinson AND JT lined up out there... Look out! I feel like we could see some real fireworks this week if JT comes in and plays as expected.

I know he had damage to bones in his hand, but didn't he also have damage to a tendon?

If so it isn't an issue of pain or fighting through the injury. It may be an issue with him being physically unable to open or close his hand (at least partially). This would be pretty tough for an offensive specialist player who needs to handle the ball. Probably not as big of a deal for defensive players or offensive lineman.

JT isn't playing this Sunday. He'll probably play against the Bucs.

Dang, yeah just read the report. Made the mistake of trusting the title, rookie mistake. lol. Week 5 would be best case I guess.

JT just saw the specialist JT chose and has not stated specialist gave JT clearance to play. Jags do not have any say at this point. Unless this is all smoke and mirrors and when official NFL injury reports come out Friday and his specialist really did give him clearance to play and he is not listed as out.

This is a possibility, but he would be catching the football on the practice field if this was true. He was in full pads and no cast, but still wasn't cleared to catch. I think they're telling the truth, sadly...

I sure hope it's true. There's to many walking wounded though still.

He figured he'd cash out in jax and not have to actually play... so far I'd say it's working out pretty well

Sub in Hurns for Lee and it looks like an even nicer line up

Please don't inject any actual fact into the discussion.  Stick to the mantra that JT is soft.  The doctors of the message board have spoken.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I think advances in medical treatment and technology have jaded people to the fact that HE JUST HAD SURGERY A MONTH AGO.... ahem.

TE Julius Thomas (hand). Broke a bone in his hand Aug. 14 and had surgery Sept. 1. For the first time today, ran routes in a team-drill setting but did not catch any passes.

I hope Blake DOES force the ball to him lol

I think people are just frustrated that he underwent surgery after a few weeks of doing the conservative route unsuccessfully.

Even if it was 50-50 that it could heal on its own, why take that risk.  Get it operated on and "fixed" so you're ready for the season opener.

What I really think happened is that he had a set-back in his rehab and injured it more - which had to get surgically fixed.  Maybe he fell on his hand again, maybe he didn't follow the protocol - or maybe he was misdiagnosed.

Or maybe I'm just coming up with conspiracy theories.
