What do you expect when the two starting DTs are both injured ZIggy Hood (out for season) and Marks hopefully we get him back this week or next...

What do you expect?  You start Odrick, Jones, or even try Bennett at the 3tech.  We all know what Alu is at DT,  except maybe the coaching staff.

Kind of weird that they put Ziggy Hood on IR when his injury was only expected to keep him out 3-4 weeks.  

 

Hood was never penciled in as a starter though, always a backup to Marks.  (I guess you could say he was the starter until Marks came back....)

The one thing about Alualu is that he's durable.  He might not be very good, but at least he's available.  

 

He's able to play at different positions and while he's not a good starter he's not bad as depth on the line.  Ryan Davis is better than him at different spots DE or DT, and at times he has moments where he plays okay but he does make more mistakes than he does good... maybe Gus looks at it and moves him down the depth chart against the colts.

Not to mention on the times when he calls for 3 DTs its Miller at 0 or 1 tech, Marks at 3 and ZIggy at 3 on the other side.
