Jaguars attending college games.

#1

The Jaguars are one of the few teams that will attend some college games this weekend. They will be at UCLA-Arizona, Mississippi State-Auburn, and Tennessee- Florida games.

I was surprised to see that they won't be attending the USC-Arizona State game, since they have many upcoming players.

Notable players are Scooby Wright III LB and Vernon Hargreaves III. I don't know much about the other players.

Let's go defense in the first round.. Jaylon Smith...

Second round maybe somebody like Pharoh Cooper from South Carolina? Dude is a playmaker.

I like Smith. I actually forgot about him.

I'm meh on Cooper. He doesn't seem that explosive to me.

Maybe someone else can chime in with thoughts on him.

Defence sounds good . LT will be important if it don't pan out thru the season.

Jaylon Smith is who I would love to have in the first round

But I feel the same way about Cooper

Jaylon Smith a major upgrade over Poz for 3rd down plays. This draft has many inside linebackers so I would rather get someone like Jalen Ramsey because FS are much harder to find. If Myles Jack finds his way to the 2nd round because of his injuries, I would go DB 1st round and ILB 2nd round. It is way too early to tell now.

I feel like we should go the Giants model from a few years ago where they just stacked up pass rushers(Tuck, Kiwaunuka, Umenyiora, and Strahan)

This works also. We pretty much have the offense they just need experience and seasoning.

Smith would work.

I'm surprised you guys aren't really big on Cooper. He had another big game today also.

Myles Jack falling to the 2nd round is laughable, he's a once in a generation linebacker and will certainly go in the top 10, even with this injury.

Not to be mean but I don't think you know what once in a generation means.

Is he a MLB or a OLB?

Bosa is going to be overdrafted
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I think one of the draft experts said he would have been top 5 in the recent draft. I don't see us drafting that high after this season. Our offense is pretty much good except for LT. If LT is still a problem after this season, I hope they address that in free agency and draft defense. There is a lot of defensive talent in the upcoming draft.

He's a good player but he's not even a once in a decade LB.

Joey Bosa is a beast. It would be awesome if they go to an Ohio State game and watch #97. But I think it is too early to compare a college junior to J.J. Watt.

I agree if u draft a guy that high he better be a 14+ sack guy. not 7 or 8. I think Bosa is more like 7 or 8 type.

You do realize sacks are not everything, right? Any defensive end will tell you sacks are overrated because they do a lot more than that. And don't forget the college football season is five weeks shorter.

Last year I could see why a lot of people thought Joey Bosa should be a first round pick. Even with Michael Bennett playing beside him, he was all over the place doing everything a defensive end should do.

Fowler isn't a sack guy at all. Of course he will get sacks but it is more than that.

Not a sack guy? Why do you think he was the third overall pick?

I agree on the last part though. Pressuring the quarterback, forcing fumbles, batting the ball down and tipping it up . . . there is a lot more to Joey Bosa's job than sacking quarterbacks. And he is good at all of it.
