The Raiders apparently did not want a gold 50-yard line during baseball season. Has anyone heard anything about this before? I was surprised because it looks like all teams have to do is paint the number 50 in gold, not install something.

The Raiders were the the only team that had not complied, but owner Mark Davis told the Associated Press Wednesday that they were simply waiting because of the baseball field at the Coliseum, which the team shares with MLB’s Oakland Athletics, whose final home game is scheduled for Sept. 27. The Raiders play at home next Oct. 11 against Denver.

Interesting, I read yesterday that they told the NFL that even after the A's are done with their season they still wouldn't do it.  (Please don't ask for a link, please google.)

What doesn't make sense is the NFL claims they won't change the color, but Mark Davis said they will. Isn't Davis the guy who would tell the NFL whether they are doing it or not?
