Crap. Oh well, Walters can catch and might be more reliable against the Pats.

Hoping we find someone else to sign as well. I dont dislike Bryan at all but....IDK need someone else.

I keep wondering how Sterling would look in this mix. Even though he was an Albino #2 during training camp.

That's too bad, I was looking forward to watching him get better as the season progressed

Why? We have ARob, Hurns, and Lee. We still have the same amount of WR's now that we have Walters back.

NFL rules
A team may place a player on injured reserve (reserve/injured list) who is "not immediately available for participation with a club". Generally, these players may not practice or return to the Active List for the rest of the season (including postseason games or the Pro Bowl) in which they are placed on injured reserve, but are allowed to be with the team.

During the preseason, the league also allows players with long-term, but not season-ending, injuries to be placed into one of two designations: physically unable to perform (PUP), for injuries sustained during the previous season or during training camp, or reserve/non-football injury, for injuries sustained outside of team or league activities (despite the name, this includes lingering injuries from college football play, should an injured player be drafted and join the team). Both designations are functionally identical in that the player can be promoted to the active roster by week 6 of the regular season or placed on injured reserve.

Starting in 2012, the NFL and the NFLPA reached an agreement allowing one player placed on injured reserve to be brought back to the active roster.Provided that the player was on the final 53-man preseason roster (A rule exempted for the 2012 season), and that the injury is deemed to keep this player unable to practice or play football for an estimated six weeks, the player may be allowed to practice after Week 6, and be activated to play after Week 8.

Teams may also place a player on injured reserve with a minor injury designation, but the team must release the player once he is healthy

Because I want someone better? i want someone to step up? Maybe Bryan will do that, I know a lot of folks liked him i n the preseason, so maybe he will do something. Then again maybe Lee will finally do something? Either way, I want competition and want players who want to win.

Any word on Greene's thumb? Is it broken? Ligaments? Did they have to amputate?

Glad to see he can return, would hate to see him lose the rest of his rookie year

Lee is back so we are good there

According to Johnny O

So Greene to short-term IR fallout

1. Slot receiver is out

2. Punt returner is out

3. Walters likely fills both roles

4. Jaguars have now used allotted short-term spot for year

5. I'd give Lee a look on punt returns.

6. Yeldon carrying flag for this draft class. Fowler out, Greene out for awhile, Cann not playing, Sample filling in, Bennett rotation guy

7. But Yeldon has been carrying that flag since Fowler went down.

8. Nick Marshall could get a shot on punt returns, too. Handled the last one against Miami.

He's our 4th WR, if we were going to sign someone better it would have been happened, why would we do it when our 4th WR gets hurt?

Walters is fine in that role, plus we have Sterling who looked good when he played, Lee is a big enough upgrade to take Greene reps from week 1 and 2

He's raw.  If they thought he was ready to step up, he'd be on the roster.  He looked  like a project coming into this thing, and my hope is that he develops quickly because he's got good hands and great size to be a punishing receiver.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just hope we stay away from injuries more so than we typically do.
