They just announced Grier will start at Kentucky.  I don't know if this means the rotation has ended or what.  (EDIT: Apparently Grier being the starter is just like last week. Harris will play.)

 

Honestly I kinda like what Treon brings to the table.  Who do you think is better?  I find it weird that they pulled Grier at the end of last week's game and now they want to start him.  It really feels like the coaching staff has no clue who they want to play.

 

Grier pros: Arm, accuracy

Grier cons: inexperienced, could start becoming an interception machine 

 

 

Harris pros: Dual threat, experience

Harris cons: Meh arm

i guess they expected one to play themselves out of the starting role, which has not happened.

 

but at the same time, Grier made a couple dangerous throws last week, then they put Harris back in to close the game. It makes no sense to me to now go back with Grier.

I don't think they will choose an actual QB to start. I think it may be their plan to use both in certain situations. I think they'll play Grier if they want to attack the secondary with a pocket passer. Harris is good if they're playing back and not sending pressure. He'll be able to make a lot of plays with his legs and keep defenses on their toes.

 

If you think about it, this can work in college football.
