My impressions of game 1

#1

Bortles is no where close to where we thought he was.

Yeldon is being outplayed by Robinson.

ARob is a #2

We sorely need Thomas at TE.

The Joke may have played his last down as a Jag.

Clemons will get us 8.5 this year.

Our CBs are laughable.

The stinking Tacks are 1-0 while the Colts and Texans lost. What a blown opportunity by Gus.

The drops are an issue.

Lee, Marks, and Thomas need to get healthy, and fast. This team is in trouble.

In before go soil myself and feel free to find the building and jump, blah blah blah.

This team is awful. Myers is no where near kicker material. And why did Gus burn a timeout like that.

2 win team.....

I think once we get Thomas and Lee back the offense will click more  Thomas will help the offense quite a bit and Lee will be that deep threat. Blake needs that

How did Denard outplay Yeldon?

Yeldon: 12 rushes, 51 yards, 4.3ypc,  3 receptions, 16 yards, 5.3ypc

Denard: 5 rushes, 19 yards, 3.8ypc, 2 receptions, 26 yards, 13ypc

Yeldon looked pretty explosive to me today and that's coming from a guy who didn't have much faith in him. If he had kept up that pace and had 12 more touches that's 100 yards and probably 20 or so more reception yards to go with it. We need to rely on the run game more in general. They were playing well and for some reason we had Bortles throw the ball 40 times to a bunch of receivers who can't catch. Don't get why we never tried to freaking run the ball in the end zone. It's like they were determined to inflate Bortles stats and it backfired.

And how did Joeckel play his last down as a Jag when the line tanked without him?

I think TJ Yeldon played better than D-Rob as the ypc shows but D-Rob had a nice screen pass play in the game.

Raise your hands if you think tackling TJ Yeldon is a bad idea now?

Yeldon showed off his outside-zone skills early, recording gains of 11 and 14 yards in the first quarter. The rookie showed his cutback vision on both runs, and made a linebacker miss in the open field on the 14-yard scamper. Yeldon ceded a couple series to Denard Robinson in the second half, but he was the clear lead back. Yeldon was on the field for the Jags two-minute drive to close out the first half, and he out-touched Robinson 15 to 7. Yeldon gets a tough matchup against the Dolphins Week 2, but he will still be in the RB2 conversation. Sep 13 - 4:20 PM - Rotoworld

They need to feel Yeldon a whole lot more. He was gaining big yards when they fed him the ball. They were driving well when they did, but practically abandoned him after that.

Even more than Julius, this team needs Sen'Derrick back. After the pick six, the Panthers were able to wear out the Jaguars defense and the clock. With Marks in there, doing so wouldn't have been so easy for them.

I can only imagine that his finger hurt him or the hit from Kuech did or something, because it didnt make sense not to keep feeding the ball to TJ.

Greene took a big hit to the back of the head from Bene Benwikere on the Jaguars' meaningless final drive. Greene was heavily involved before the injury, catching 7-of-13 targets for 28 yards and a touchdown. If Jacksonville wants to move the ball against the Dolphins next week, Greene needs to be less involved. = Rotoworld

I wonder if the Jaguars should consider signing WR Wes Welker to a one year contract?

He might come back this week if not next (expected).

Cam Newton is a beast.  He's big, fast, strong arm, tough.  If he had at least 1 pro bowl wideout, he would have destroyed destroyed the Jags D.

Waiting for Lee is like waiting for Blackmon to put down the bottle.  It is going to be a long time.  I'm betting Lee will make some other team really happy.  And honestly with the way we let Greene get destroyed, do we want can't stay on the field Lee to play that role?

Man Luke Kuechly is a nasty beast before he got hurt.  We could have drafted him, but we drafted that bum Justin Blackmon.

Miami, NE and Indy are up next.

Cam Wake is going to embarrass Sam Young.

Sam Young can't sleep all week and having nightmares.

Yeldon was feeling it in the first half that third drive he was money. Then we sat him out and although DRob was looking fine we started getting pass happy which was ok for a bit then it carried over into the second half and we doomed ourselves.

No pain, no gain.

This is just one example of could have's for this franchise.

What if Sam Young did like George Constanza and did the opposite of everything he thought was right? Could be possibly be an elite LT?

Imagine Kuechly laying the hammer against wr and rbs in a Jaguar uniform like he was against us.  The Jags D would be nasty and mean.
