Last Living 9/11 Search Dog Honored in Epic Fashion

Tomorrow sucks. There's no way around that reality. I'm sure you guys will have an all-you-can-eat buffet of images we've all seen a million times and would rather not see again, grandstanding by politicians on all sides of the aisle and, of course, more hot air from "journalists" who spin the event, offering little but hot air, ruminations on "how far we've come" (or haven't) and, if you're really lucky, a conspiracy theory or two.

Instead of putting another cliche "never forget" thread out there or posting another somber memorial that just piles on to what you're going to see anyway, here's something fun to put a smile on your face. Bretagne, the last known living 9/11 search dog, flew (with her human, of course) to New York for a day on the town.

Enjoy.

I'm actually flying tomorrow. Back to Jax from Minneapolis around noon. I'm sure I'll be a little more on edge than usual

imo, you're safer in the air tomorrow than you are any of the other 364 days this year.

I still have every news magazine and Stars and Stripes newspaper from back then. I always thought it would be interesting to read the stories 10, 15, 20 years down the road and compare the immediate reaction to the information that came out later. I was living in Germany and it was an interesting time to be in a foreign country.
