Charles Johnson vs Luke Joeckel

Thoughts?

Me thinks Marcedes Lewis/Yeldon/Gerhart will need to throw a few chips to help the kid out. Otherwise he could be living in the backfield come Sunday.

Johnson will face off against your RT, but they plan to move both he and Ealy around quite a bunch.

Who is your RT?

Parnell aka the BEAST. He'll eat Johnson alive. Ealy doesn't scare me at all. I think Johnson is the one we'll be most concerned with.

Don't know a thing about him, but I imagine the Panthers will run a lot of twists, stunts and blitzes to get pressure any way they can.

Ealy is dangerous, but streaky. One if the Jag websites did a good write up on him. He's an intriguing guy, they'll even kick him inside to 3T on obvious passing downs. I think he'll be good, but he has some work to do before OC's really worry about him.

Edit - found link, good breakdown.

Luke Joekel laughs in the face of pass rushers...

Panthers sacks, hits, and hurries will most likely come against the left side. The left side of the line is the weakest link. We have a new center that understands the system, we have a future pro bowler in RG Liner, and adding swing RT Parnell makes the right side strong. Parnell when he played in a portion of games last year did very well. Hopefully Joekcel and Beadles have learned from Marone and will keep Bortles safe.

He reminds me of our very own Ryan Davis. We've seen it. Again, he doesn't scare me.

Marone is an excellent OL coach, always liked him. We'll see how Johnson looks after missing all preseason. I imagine he'll sub out quite a bit until his conditioning is up to par. I like our back ups in Horton and Addison.

I'm sure you know enough about him to make such an astute analysis and comparison.

How do you know what I know? Have we even had a discussion before?

Wow, I haven't really noticed that, maybe I'm not  looking close enough. That is really beast mode, he isn't even pressing against the DE, he is just punishing him by letting him hit that brick wall he is bouncing back lol. Thats crazy.

There are a few vines out on him against the Redskin's D. He absolutely jacks up one of them in the clip.
