The Lousville QB is the fastest guy I have seen since Vick. How did the state of Florida let him get away.

Interesting first week.  And now that we have a playoff, even if a small one, losing a game doesnt really matter.  Especially early.  Everyone that lost can still make the playoff.

I was surprised Bama looked as good as they did.  I thought that game would be closer.  But Bama was clearly better in all facets.  I was also surprised by the A&M - ASU score.  Maybe A&M is gonna start fast like last year and then fade.  But I would be surprised.  I really like their QB Allen and that freshman WR Kirk looks like a baller.  And that defense with Chavis may actually have some teeth.  Their line was putting pressure all night.  I thought Auburn looked a little weak.  The Heisman talk for Jeremy Johnson wasnt worth the hype.  And their defense looked suspect at times.  they got the win which was most important and obviously only the first game for all these teams so things can change.

Either Notre Dame is really good or Texas is really terrible.  Or a little of both.  I lean towards Texas being terrible.  I usually dont trust any Notre Dame hype.  especially after just one game.  But they looked good last night.  Their toughest game of the year may be the early October game at Clemson.  I'm hoping both will be undefeated.  Will try to be there for that one.  I've got a hookup at the Bud tailgate at the Esso Club.  Should be a lot of fun.

I've always thought the Tenn hype was unwarranted.  Their defense looked like crap against Bowling Green.  No chance they win the East in my opinion.  Georgia looked good as always.  But in true Richt fashion they'll lose to South Carolina or Tennessee or someone else they shouldnt and finish a solid 9-3 or 10-2.

Mich St looked solid but not spectacular.  Not a great weekend for the Big10(excluding northwestern).  Tough loss for Nebraska.  Tough loss for Wisconsin.  Everyone is talking up Penn St but as a Vandy fan, I can tell you Franklin is great for a school like mine that needs energy and a winning attitude.  But you need more than that to be a consistent double digit winning team.

Tough weekend for the Pac12 North.  Stanford with a bad loss.  Washington with tough loss to Boise.  WashSt with a terrible loss to Portland St.  Oregon gave up a ton of points and yards to a team breaking in a new QB.

Remember that one guy who posted on here that kept saying Hackenberg was the next star and a better QB than Jameis Winston?

That was funny.
