Fans are calling for it BUT I don't see it happening since the current colors look classier on apparel.  Schools like Pitt & the U are focused on becoming Duke with regard to education and national perception.  I'd take the Pitt 70's era type team in a heartbeat !!

That 70s-early 80s era Pitt teams were amazing.

 

Dorsett

Cavanaugh

Green

Marino

Fralic

 

There are other linemen I am forgetting.  I am thinking Russ Grimm, among others.
