After 3 preseason games what position(s) should the Jags be looking to upgrade if any?

I'm not happy with either Evans or Loston so look for a #2 SS

Depth at corner is weak IMO

Could certainly use a pass rusher if one happens to become available

I'm sure they'll be plenty of top rushers to pick from off the pass rusher tree that seems to bloom this time of season.

We don't need a top pass rusher. A bottom 3rd of the league guy would be better than your boy Branch.

My boy? Because I've surely defended him. Don't we already have a plethora of bottom 3rd of the league guys currently pretending to rush the passer?

Just wait for the regular season right? We've had this conversation right?

Feel free dig up the entire quote.

Our depth at CB isn't too bad. Our top three are better than many teams, and Gratz is not at all bad for a #4 or dime CB. It's only when you get to the #5 spot where we have guys like Reynalds and Marshall vying for the spot where we start to look weak.

The secondary would have looked much better had McCray played, although of course on the flip side, what if Calvin Johnson played? As it was, Stafford finished with a near perfect qb rating.

The Jaguars can still use some legitimate speed at wide-out, although I was plesantly surprised with Bryan Walters in this game.

It's still FS that's a huge issue. While Sergio Brown has clearly earned the starting role, in this league he's merely average for the position. Behind him there's virtually nothing as Josh Evans and Loston are virtual scrubs.

The other HUGE issue is backup qb. Henne's gotta go.

Did someone say pass rusher?

You've forgot about Sample.

I did. Whew! Thanks for reminding me. At least there's some hope that maybe he'll show up and play.

The Jags need a "true" #1 receiver IMO. I don't see how this can be addressed until at least 2017. Walters should make a fine possession receiver

Brown has impressed me and I'll certainly take average at this point. Hopefully the Jags can find a decent #2 SS off waivers

I'm afraid that Henne is here for 1 last year

Yes! I do believe pass rusher has been mentioned...Yes! Smile

You know... Aldon Smith and Bruce Irvin would make these pass rush issues go away.

I am not sure Aldon Smith will play for anyone this year

After what's transpired with Justin Blackmon I'm shocked that anyone would want Aldon Smith on this roster.

Only Alfie does. And Sosa...but he's Alfie.

I'd be for it on a deal similar to Greg Hardy's in Dallas. We wouldn't be investing any sort of draft pick in him, nor would we be giving large sums of guaranteed money. If it works out, it's good for us. If it doesn't, we can easily cut bait and move on.

Who cares what happened to Justin. This is a different person and a repeat offender, yes, but you structure the contract properly so you don't lose out on anything. If we get a few seasons of double digit sacks before he screws up again, then its worth it. He isn't playing this season anyways, but I'm looking at next year with him and Fowler on that line. Someone is going to sign him eventually, and they get a low risk high reward player.

Waiver wishes... (although quality through the waiver wire is likely minimal)

* Pass rusher...Leo please, the Branch/Clemons era is forgettable.

* Left tackle...Joke-L.

* Backup QB...This team is sunk if Henne is forced to play.

* Linebackers...aside from a couple plays by Skuta, they were bad as a group.

* DT...Miller was beat continually and no penetration from the Marks backups.

You guys are killing me.The only thing I would look at is a LEO/DE. It is to late now. What we have is what we have.
