Texans have named Brian Hoyer their starting quarterback, according to sources, over Ryan Mallett

So sad for them. Awesome defense. Crappy QB play.

Clearly the Tinhorns don't know QB talent.

Hmm.  TMD swore by both Mallett and O'Brien.

O'Brien apparently doesn't think that Mallett is a starting QB.

Since QB is the most important position on a team and is the biggest single determinant on success or failure, either TMD was wrong about Mallett or TMD was wrong about O'Brien.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I love that the horn's defense will keep them right in the middle of the pack and they will likely never get their franchise QB. I see 8-8 for this team at best for the next decade.

A former resident draftnik, AliveOutOfHabit, said Mallett was so good he was going to cause Brady to be traded.

Watching Hard Knocks, it's clear Mallett is a duncecap.  Talented arm, empty head.

No surprise he continues to ride the pine.

Option 3 exists here as well.  He could be wrong about both.

I don't think I would describe their defense as "awesome". Their secondary isn't very good.

TMD must have shot his monitor upon reading that news.

We shouldn't laugh at other team's QB situations.

Browns, tinhorns, Philly, jests....

McCown, Manziel

Hoyer, Mallet,

2 failed first rounders and another who has 2 bum knees

another failure (with a broken jaw) and a jouneyman turnover machine (with a wicked awesome beard)...

Geez.... how do those teams make it through?

From what I saw, Hoyer is the better of the two.

I was listening to the afternoon sports show from Houston. The hosts did not seem optimistic about Hoyer.
