As long as Bortles doesn't get hurt and the offensive line stays mostly healthy the season won't be lost. That Bortles has the opportunity to play a whole season without getting put on his butt every other drop back is the most important thing for this year.

Jaguars SS Johnathan Cyprien will miss the rest of the preseason with a broken hand.

Cyprien suffered the injury in the Jaguars' preseason opener. It is similar to the injury Julius Thomas suffered in the same game, and both players are expected to miss the rest of the preseason. Does he though? He's played two seasons and will still be practicing. If he doesn't take the next step in his game it's not bc he missed 3 preseason games his 3rd season.

perhaps you are right.. Just hate to see young players miss valuable reps especially on a young defense.
