When we're relevant again

Can we all get together and make a sign that goes all the way around Everbank that says "Screw you NFL Network and ESPN".

I mean it's amazing how the Jags have been completely ignored by the national media during TC.

When we win the Super Bowl, commercial break when Bortles hoisting Lombardi. Next day, all the media will focus on how the other team lost

Haha.  What's that phrase everyone uses before the draft?  Oh yeah,  "book it!"  ^

Small market, seemingly a decade of losing seasons, can't be too difficult to figure out why they don't show tons of jags footage or hype.

So only big markets deserve to be covered at nausea like the Cowboys? Hell they might as well give them their own network like the Texas Longhorns.

It is pretty bad how biased NFL network and the media are. They have to keep retreading the same stuff on the same teams to keep the average fan engaged. Back when MJD was in his prime here we had a media darling. We still didn't get nearly the coverage as the most popular teams but he was always mentioned and on the shows. Now, the only thing we can do is play good ball and still be relevant in the second half of the season.

No pain, no gain.

Don't know about "deserve", but that's what really happens.  I used to get ticked off that the Jags didn't seem to get much media coverage and then I started specifically looking for coverage of teams like the Bills or the Bengals.  They get about as much as we do.  Small market teams that aren't very good don't get much coverage, that's just how it goes.  Once we start winning, you'll see the Jags discussed at more length.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Networks are businesses. They want to make money. They make money by getting lots and lots of people to watch. If they're talking about the Cowboys then lots and lots of people will watch. If they talk about the Jaguars then less people will watch.

It's been 5 days

Camp lasts 4+ weeks...till 4th preseason game essentially

More importantly, what can ESPN and NFLN tell an avid Jags fan that they wouldn't have seen here, from the TU, BCC, etc?

Patience, wins, less inferiority complex
Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

I DO see a lot of film which includes the Jags........unfortunately, it's the opponent's highlights. Hopefully that changes this year.

Winning will fix that

The way things have been going the last few years, I'm glad the major networks are not covering us.   It would be a lot more painful that the non-coverage we've been getting.

No. Stop caring how much some idiot on NFLN or ESPN talks about the team.  Why is that important to so many people?

When one is unsure about their footing or stature, one constantly looks outside for validation.

Personally, I just hate how I know it goes down. Networks don't care until you win then act like they've been there all along. They wouldn't cover Seattle worth a sniff a few years ago but now they pretend they've been there following them all along. It's sickening.

Yeah, I mean I think the NFL network is in house today...

But for the past week I've heard "so and so opening camp today. So and so first in camp"

Not even a whisper of the Jaguars.

DATS OK
