I'm going to jump to conclusions without knowing the facts and say this guy is a terd.  I think i'll fit in well around here!

Stepped on a pop top

Blew out my flip flop

Had to cruise on back home

Blah, blah, blah

As long as he shows up in next couple days no big deal

Never said he was a turd. In fact, in his time in Jax he's been pretty much anything but. Doesn't mean I can't still say "uh oh" when our best LEO doesn't report to camp after our first-round pick LEO is lost for the year.

Reading Bradley's comments in the T-U, he is clearly very concerned about this.  I am wondering what's going on here.  What are these "personal issues" that are keeping him from showing up at training camp?

The guy is 34 years old, maybe he doesn't want to practice in the heat.

If he can't get to work, I guess it's time to fire the guy.   Seriously.   He's 34.   We might need to move on.

I'm not accusing you of it.  I just made a tongue in cheek statement, mostly pointed at a large portion of this board as a whole.  It is concerning tho, i agree.

Did a little digging. It looks like he's dealing with a divorce. I assume that would classify as "personal reasons".

Hopefully it is not extended. If it is, it could be a good opportunity for Chris Smith. Gus seemed to speak highly of him in a recent interview with Shadrick.

So hopefully he's absent for dealing with the process and not emotional reasons.  I've seen divorce break men.

Did team say he will get fined?  Just curious.

Well... that article is from May.

And in that article it says that he filed for divorce, and then pulled the filing before his wife could respond.

Not sure that there is ANY correlation between him missing camp and the divorce/non divorce.

I also wouldn't think Gus would find it concerning that Clemons misses time for handling something like that. Usually a concerning absence is legal trouble or no good excuse.

I must admit I saw a comment which made me laugh, and then made me think it was likely from of the pessimistic posters on this board Smile

    <p style="margin:0em 0em 1.2em;font-size:1em;">Maybe he personally doesn’t want to lose 13 games."

It made me laugh too.

The team has nobody to blame but themselves. 14 wins in 4 years.
