Junior Galette released
|
Seem to remember a lot here wanted us to trade a pick for him during the NO fire sale. He's got some character issues but may not face any suspension for the current issue. I wouldn't mind bringing him in and seeing if he can stay on the straight and narrow.

He's a player I would consider taking a risk on. But the Jags would have to prepare for any public backlash in picking him up along with any possible suspensions.

I cant see us picking him up. I wouldnt be against it if we did some how sign him tho.
This guy has multiple assaults against women, and let go from multiple teams (counting college). When a team (Sean Payton) lets a guy go after back-to-back seasons of double digit sacks, and having paid him $18m already in a 4 year $41.5m deal that was signed just 10 months ago, there is a significant character issue with major (huge) red flags. No thank you. I have a wife and daughter in this community...as do friends, family, other posters, players, coaches and others.
This guy makes Ray Rice look like a choir boy. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I had never even heard of this guy before today. Apparently he is a pretty freaking good LB. Lol. Shows you how much I watch non-Jags football

Galette is honestly a perfect LEO, being that he is a hybrid speed rusher.
If they went this route, I'd have to believe that with Fowler combing back this year and good young talent developing at the position, that we'd be signing him at the expense of Clemons, which while sad, would probably be best since he is 34 and we really don't know how many good years he has left.
We are Jaguars.
We have the money and need to start taking chances.Possible big problem but look at Hardy
No thanks. The guy is toxic right now. Let it cool off and maybe but not at this time.

He still has a case pending because of a video showing him involved in brawl. And in the video he is seen hitting a woman with a belt.
No chance they sign this guy. Zero.

Quote:No thanks. Don't want this scum on the Jags.I'm not too concerned about that. The video doesn't prove its Galette and the website that originally posted it took it down when asked because of that reason. If he gets in trouble for that then Dez Bryant should get in trouble for the Walmart parking lot incident. Both instance's are similar. I'm more concerned about this: Quote:Report: Junior Galette was locker-room issueThe locker room cancer deal won't fly here.

I would sign him just based on his ability to rush the passer.
I think we've had 2 double digit sack players in the history of the team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

We got Chad Henne, that should be enough to keep him in check. http://tampabay.sbnation.com/jacksonville-jaguars/2012/8/18/3250991/chad-henne-fight-jaguars-saints Quote:We have the money and need to start taking chances.Possible big problem but look at Hardy LOL ![]()
Well I look at it this way. It is the police/governments job to discipline this guy and other like him. So do you expect him to never work again? I get it Saints cut him as their punishment but everyone deserves a second change (unless it is a really gruesome crime). So under the newish NFL rule domestic violence has a certain suspension so I say sign him to a 1 year league minimum contract and say we as a franchise we would like to help develop our players characters and make them better people and football players. We all know a lot of these pro athletes would be in a bad place if it was not for sports. So do you think that he has a better change of changing his ways if he is out of the NFL or if he is in the NFL.
So I say if he is willing to take a small contract that is performance based go for it. Jaguars | Pacers | Purdue | Team USA

If the guy is a cancer in the locker room, he's not going to be on the radar for this team. Simple as that. The legal issues are a concern, but chemistry is also very important. I don't care if they're paying him league minimum, it's not worth it. Some team will be willing to take the risk. It won't be this one. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Chad with the takedown...that should be on Henne's highlight reel from now until the end of time.
