Rarely as fans do we feel these guys are worth what their new contracts pay them. I think it's just the nature of the business. He's 26 years old and has 48.5 sacks over his first four seasons with 22 coming last season.

If he can be a guy that is around 14-16 sacks a season I think they'll be happy to pay him that money.

Texans have a few big contracts. Might drag them down eventually.

Jaguars | Pacers | Purdue | Team USA

Sounds right. It is the largest LB contract ever though. Which I guess goes without saying.

Yup, just wait to see what he gets.

Totally misleading to say his contract is worth $100 million.

As Andrew Brandt says - in MLB and the NBA $100 million is worth $100 million. In the NFL $100 million is worth about $45 million and then we'll see.

I think Watt is under contract until he is 32. I think his big payday was that 100 million he signed a year or two ago, unless he decides to hold out for a new one

52.5 million is the guaranteed portion of the contract. Even still not a bad pay day at all.

Which I doubt he would. It doesn't seem to be in his character to hold out for money. He's seems to be a pretty genuine guy.

I'd take Watt > Suh > Houston > Peterson > Sherman/Chancellor (both are great)
