Guy is Cody Kessler in a Patriots jersey

Need somebody young to compete with Blake. I think Polo would be nice with a good o line.

I say we trade at least our whole draft for him. I mean, franchise QB is the importants of the NFL. Maybe if we trade more, he'll play better. Only real Jaguars fans would know.

Thought Cody Kessler played well for what he had around him, if he had a bigger arm he might actually be a capable qb.

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

The asking price in a trade will be too steep, IMO.

You're gonna give up the farm for a guy to compete with Blake? Yeah OK.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I liked Garoppolo as a potential second round pick in 2014, but I don't know about giving up a first rounder for him as things are now.

I'd rather keep our current picks, take Davis Webb in the 3rd round and let he and Brandon Allen scrap it out to be the "break glass in case of Bortles meltdown" back-up.

So how could he succeed here then?

Because he would beat Blake out for the starting QB spot..

Do you think Blake would've played as good Jimmy in that New England offense? I like Blake and want him to succeed. We might just need a different look and who else is there out there besides old ah romo!?

The point is that theyre both unspectacular QBs, not bad or anything but havent shown anything that should make you believe they can elevate the talent around them to a superbowl.

The difference between the two is Jimmy has a small sample size so theyre projecting way more than Cody since he played 10+ games we saw him face many situations. Also jimmy plays for the patriots so its automatically associated with quality.

based strictly on play, i dont think either has done substantially more than the other to show theyre QBs of the future. But one of them is being talked about as 1st round pick trade worthy because of his jersey.

He'll cost too much in terms of picks for us to try and bring him here and he hasn't played enough to take the risk, especially with players coming from NE..

Either the Browns, Bears or 49ers will make a run at him though.

Interesting that Shanahan had him rated as the second best QB on his board in the draft 2014, behind Carr.

No, he'd be sitting on IR.

Someone's starting qb is gonna go down early in the season and the patriots will get that 1st for Garoppolo no problem.

I wouldn't pay what they are asking for him. A third round or a late 2nd, maybe.

The Browns are just dumb enough to trade a first for him though.
