Battle for a 4th

#1

According to this "mock" draft, Battle might go in the top of the 4th of the supplemental draft.

What do you think? Is a future 2016 4th ok for another offensive lineman?

I personally don't know much about him.

I think Josh Gordon may have scared teams off of supplemental prospects who are there because of off-field incidents. He'll probably be taken, but I'd bet it's a fifth or sixth round pick, especially if the team that takes him anticipates being high in the order next year.

I would feel a lot better if he went as a 5th rounder but I mean if we do pick him up I hope its worth it.

I didn't know about the off field problems, that's usually a no go for Dave C. But a low pick like a 6th wouldn't be anymore riskier than a 6th next year.

I don't know... For a 2nd round pick?

If you gave me 50/50 chances he'd either straighten out and go on to be a top 5 WR over the next 10 years or completely flame out within 3 years, I'd still have a hard time deciding in his specific case.

It might depend on where that 2nd round pick fell and the strength of the upcoming draft class I guess.

To Rams for 5th.

Little bit of a surprise there, as the Rams have spent high picks on tackles the last couple of years. Maybe they see him more as a guard, where he has a chance of getting on the field? Or maybe they just felt like he was a good player that they could get cheap, stash on the bench and see if he develops into something. I'd be interested in seeing who else put in a claim for him, and in what round.
