A first-round pick? Wow. I'd expect New England to immediately appeal based upon Walt Coleman's statement that there were two pressure gauges in use, each giving wildly different readings, and he couldn't recall which was used at the onset when they took the readings at halftime.

So much for getting off with a 25k fine. To be honest I was expecting a minimum of 6 games but losing draft picks will work too.
wooohoooo no Brady week 3!!! Aw crap I got Gronk in fantasy keeper.....

Jimmy G in week 3 vs the Jags then. Unless the Pats get it reduced....

Yeah, with our luck the suspension will be reduced from 4 games to 2 on appeal.

its all based on "probably." id be going insane if anyone tried to penalize me without being sure of something.
This has been misreported horribly. In fact Brady has a four game suspension, which will be served in weeks one, two, four and five for no particular reason.

Probably.

Must be nice!

Gronk is not a man, he's a beast. One does not try to cover Gronk so much as trying to get out of his way. I hope our secondary is up for the challenge against him and Eddleman.

I feel like in a way we're getting a cheap victory over the Pats. Not that beating them doesn't hurt, but with Brady out it feels like we aren't proving anything to the rest of the league.
Ouch!

Ignorance. It's no excuse.

Thats a heavy blow.

Gonna appeal and get reduced to 2 games just so he can come back week 3 and demolish us........... becausejaguars.

That's what I was thinking too.

Lol at you assuming we would beat the patriots. They are still much better than us, even without Brady.

I've dealt with administrative law for 30 years and I can tell you that this decision was made under the standard of "Preponderance of Evidence",  which is the standard used in administrative investigations.  If the weight of the investigation reached the threshold of 51% then they could rule against Brady.
"Conduct detrimental to the integrity of the NFL." That's funny.

Schefter just said that the reasoning behind the four game suspension was that was the same penalty for first time PED users. They considered Brady's infraction akin to someone using an illegal supplement to get an edge. That seems logical to me.

The football gods shined upon us and said "we took Dante, in return, you're free from Brady"
