Just pondering, but what if the Pats had traded one of those picks this year? Would the other team still get the pick where it would have been?

The NFL wouldn't penalize another team. They'd probably take a 2016 2nd/3rd and then take a 2017 first rounder.

He's gonna get it reduced to 2 games and you guys know it.
Bring it on.
Bring it on.

While it's a big loss and greatly improves our chances, the Patriots are still a tough team to beat. It's not like they have to look to a replacement on a days notice. I hate Belichick, but I can't deny his abilities. The game is 4+ months away, they'll be ready to play.
Wouldn't it be funny if He Who Must Not Be Named was still on the team? :woot:

Quote:He will probably appeal and get it reduced to two games.
Agree.
It would be great to see him return against the Colts (we all know why), but I don't think they will risk the TV ratings for the game against the Cowboys after the Patriots bye week. Garoppolo vs Romo would be interesting, because they went to the same college, but nowhere near the Brady vs Romo.
Season opener with Jimmy G instead of Tommy B also won't be the same, but people will still watch, because it's the first meaningfull football game in 7 months.

Quote:No Pats fan, but that's overkill. Maybe, maybe...if it were a close game, but it was a shellacking.
1. The balls didn't help the D hold them to 7 points.
2. The Colts D couldn't stop the Pats run game.
Four games and draft picks, including a first?
Maybe it's because of their past indescretions, but it's still way overboard
Seems Tom's uncooperation is what led to the 4 games
The orginizations punishment resulted from repeat offense,
This was a statement by the NFL, If you don't cooperate, you will not escape punishment regardless of who you are.

In b4 appeal and reduction to 2 game suspension

Those soft balls helped Blount rush for almost 150 yards and 3 TDs.
Held Luck to getting 7 points on offense.
Then Colts protest. Then again...they have that charmer Irsay.
I get the Pats test the waters, so to speak, but One million dollars, 1st rd pick, 4 th rd pick and 4 game suspension?
Now Goodell hears the appeal? ( or he can pass it off to a neutral party ). Kraft won't let Goodell off the hook. Bet on appeals and reductions.
Then again. Their fans have a Superbowl team and we start the year with our 1st rd, 3 rd overall pick on IR.
So who cares?

With our luck, he'll appeal and get he suspension down to two games. Gonna come back angry against us and throw for 600 yards.

Wow I'm shocked Goodell finally did the right thing. :woot:

Brady wouldn't have done it if he didn't gain something from it.

LET'S DO THIS.

Patriots probably still win after going down 0-2 in their first two games in a must win at home.
Still, good news for us.

At the end of the day, this is the NFL's fault. You want every ball perfectly calibrated NFL league, fine then test them and keep posession. They made a decision to let teams to "work in" the footballs they played with a long time ago, and there are a plethora of quotes of current and former QBs talking about how they managed their own footballs. I mean, isn't strange that over the past 49 years that no QB hasn't been "outed" for this type of thing? I don't actuallly care about Brady's suspension, but more about the finger pointing and overly, overly, overly, overly long investigate into an issue that basically comes down from a failure of the league to sort out their priorities. And *^&% me if every darn made-up controversy has to have "-gate" added to the end of it.

If you break into the local dealership and steal a car, does it really matter if you take a a Chevy or Cadillac? Either way, you still stole a car.
