Quote:How about Bartolo "Big Sexy" Colon huh?!? He does it all! He pitches, he's 3-0, he sac flies to score a big run! Also made a big defensive play off the mound to get an out.

Mets fans have to be happy. 6 straight and atop the division.
Yep, he's been a real solid pitcher for the Mets. As expected, the pitching is what is carrying this team so far. Hopefully they can continue to overcome the injury bug. I hate that Wright is injured every year now Sad
Raise The Jolly Roger again boys!!!!
[Image: jolly-rancher-green-costume-dress.jpg]Did someone say Raise the Jolly Rancher?
Is that Britt McHenry trying to get her ESPN job back?

She never lost it.
Sweep! Raise It!!
Mets sweep the Marlins in four games, but lose two key players in the process.

Catcher Travis d'Arnaud and lefty specialist Jerry Blevins, both off to hot starts, both suffered broken bones in today's game.

Mets are playing good ball, but the injuries are starting to pile up. Hopefully the call ups can hold the fort until these guys return.

I can't recall the Mets having a better home stand since Citifield opened up in 2009.
Anyone wanna take a crack at Power Rankings? Maybe just a top 10?

I know it is very very early but man, Mets and Astros in first. Pretty cool.

I've seen the 'Stros picked as a wild card sleeper by a few people.
They have some really good young players.

If Carter would stop striking out every at bat they'd be a hell of a lot better.

...so would my fantasy team. Smile

That's why I dropped him. He did the same thing for me last year and I still took the chance on drafting him. That's just who he is.

And that's all I was hoping for...last year's stats. I got him around round 10 in my money league for some power, realizing he'd be an average killer. I was looking for a tad more than .071.

It's my money league. 16 teams and talent gets thin in a hurry. He's not hurting anything stashed on my bench.
I still can't get used to the Astros being in the AL.  It's cool that they can establish a real rivalry with the Texas Rangers but it's kind of weird seeing them primarily play AL teams -- I have the MLB package so I flip around the channels on a nightly basis.

Yeah baby. Carter on a one-game hit streak. First RBI and has his average up to a lofty .089.

Does this mean that his BA is just .089 better then yours and only has 1 more RBI then you?
