How would that scenario NOT surprise you?

For those who think the Jaguars will not be aggressive in free agency...

We have to make a move at McCourtey, Thomas, Cobb and Suh. Even if we don't land them all, we should be involved in deep talks.

Hate that we still have a few more hours til tags are done with....

I'd rather get Bulaga than Cobb.

I'm willing to bet the Jags go after a Torrey Smith before Randall Cobb but I wouldn't mind either.

You know, this official thread would be awesome if the TC would update his first post to include who's been franchised.

I agree. That's the problem with a thread. These are not events that are happening in thread-like fashion like a game would be. Something happens in Cleveland, then something happens in Detroit, and so forth. These are all separate events. What's happening with Suh? Do I need to scroll through 5 pages of posts to find out?
So making this into a thread is not a good idea.

Because it is 100% realistic and our expectations are in check.

Don't get your hopes too high on this. We love our team and the city, but forgot how the media portrays us and how players still might think of our destination. We may want these players, but that doesn't mean they want us. I think to get all of these players is unrealistic. Even though we have a ton of cap space, getting Suh, McCourty, and Thomas would be a crazy FA signing period. One that nobody should be expecting. If it comes out that way, jump for joy. But I ain't holding my breath.....
GO JAGS!!

He's recently come out and talked about Free-agency, and it's not as "aggressive" as that article sounds.

Thanks to Shefter, I have the overwhelming feeling that McCourty will end up re-signing with the Patriots.

Hope the Pats play it wrong cause he is #1 on the wish list for me.

Why leave a championship caliber team for a team within a rebuild? It would be great for McCourty to test the waters and get pulled here. But I don't see it. If the Pats and him had bad blood, I'd say we had a shot. But there's nothing pointing to that.
GO JAGS!!

If McCourtey hits the open market 0% chance that he stays in New England.

It happens all the time to teams that just won a championship. They got their ring now its time to go get paid.
