Far and away better than anything we've had at the position in a long time. If not for his injury history he'd be getting a huge deal but I think that history limits it somewhat. I'd love him at RT.

The Bulaga question haunts me too.
I think it may take 10 Mil per year to get him signed here.
Am I crazy to think that the Jags could pull
1. Devin McCourty - FS - Patriots - 10.5 Mi/Yrl
2. Julius Thomas - TE - Broncos - 10 Mil/Yr
3. Ndamukong Suh - DT - Lions - 18 Mil/Yr
4. Joe Barksdale - ORT - Rams - 3.5 Mil/Yr
If the Jags sign Suh, would the team draft Leonard Williams or Dante Fowler at Pick 3?
So much money, such difficult choices.

I like McCourty but I don't see it happening here. I think Julius Thomas is the only guy you just have to throw the check book to at this point.

which do you like the best?

Williams/Suh/McCourty

Suh, Thomas, McCourty, Cobb, and Bulaga....you have a delivery from Dave Caldwell:

@RapSheet: #Jaguars expected to be in the RB market this offseason. One reason: They’ll move Toby Gerhart around, using him an an H-back, as well as RB
Demarco Murray anyone?

If anyone its probably a Shane Vereen type player who could split carries with DRob and come in on 3rd downs to help Bortles in blocking and in the passing game as another option. He would easily upgrade Jordan Todman.

Suh, Murray, McCourty, Bulaga
why yes, yes we can

Yeah, I agree.
My ideal situation would to be draft David Johnson for UNI in the 4th/5th round instead

Suh is a luxury, not a need and I think we can just draft a potentially good D lineman at #3. Is there a good safety or TE that we should draft at #3? No

I think Demarco will cost too much, same with Ingram. I think if they go RB, they'd be looking at Spiller/Vereen type.

The next couple of weeks are likely to be the most interesting and exciting of any previous "off-season." It seems very likely that the Jaguars will go after several "high priced" players. My guess is that McCourty will go back to the Patriots shortly before March 10. I don't think the Packers can sign both Cobb and Bulaga, so Cobb will probably be the one to go since Adams can be a solid number 2 behind Nelson. If both these things do occur, I would love to see the following:
1. Suh signs on day 1 of free agency. He is still in his prime and will immediately become the best player on a very good defense.
2. Julius Thomas or Jordan Cameron is target number 2 on day one. If Thomas' demands are unreasonable, sign Cameron if his health status is ok.
3. Acquire a right tackle to compete with Pasztor. I would pass on Bulaga and sign less expensive option like Barksdale, Free, Newton or Franklin. Draft a right tackle in
round 2 or 3 who can eventually become a starter. There will be good ones still there in round 3.
4. Sign a veteran wide receiver. As much as I love Cobb, they shouldn't overspend for a number 2 receiver. If his price is too high, Torrey Smith should be much more
affordable and a great addition as a deep threat. If both are gone, there will be several other tier 2 receivers to add a veteran presence to our young corps.
5. A free safety will need to be brought in to compete with Evans and whoever they draft. Not really sure if there's anyone worth a big contract not named McCourty
accept possibly Rahim Moore. Maybe he's good buddies with Thomas and they can get a package deal.
6. Make an offer to Stefan Wisniewski. The importance of a reliable center is underestimated and he could be had at a reasonable price. Bowanko could provide valuable depth at all positions on the offensive line.
The priorities in the draft would become:
1. Dynamic pass rusher (Fowler or Ray/Beasley/Gregory if they trade back (no later than pick 10).
2. Faster linebacker (Kendricks/Perryman or another speedy backer in round 2.
3/4 Best available safety and running back- Quality players will be there at each position. I trust Caldwell and his scouts to shine again in the mid-rounds.
5-7 BAP at any position, including possibly quarterback if they aren't still high on Morris.
It will be fun to see what happens, but I believe the Jaguars' will finally be heading in the right direction and their fans will have several years when they will be in the playoff discussion each December.

How about Ridley? I still want Jay Ajayi over everyone else but wouldn't mind Ridley or Vareen
