Most coaches are defined by success. Success limits the amount of anger shown by fans. If fans would stop and analyze, rather than creating angry threads as knee-jerk reactions to a loss, then imagine how people would talk about Fisch. He's called some good plays, but Bortles, the offensive line, the backs, the receivers, all of them, make too many mistakes for most of his plays to work.

Quote:Wouldn't the fake punt be more of a Mallory/Bradley call? You don't think Fisch had input on that? It's his offense.

I am a very firm believer that the "jimmy and joes not x's and o's" is a load of crap. Good coaches and good coordinators put their players in the best position to succeed. Bad coaches and bad coordinators put them in position to fail.
It may not seem like it to most, and I know I am in the minority. but I actually think Dave Caldwell is quietly stacking talent on this roster but I feel like it is not being utilized. I do not blame the rookie GM on the Gus hire. It was his very first hire and it is easy to see why he fell in love with Gus Bradley because of his leadership and passion for the game...but the quicker he realizes his mistake the quicker it gets fixed.

6-24
31st in yards per game two years in a row
32 in total points two years in a row
zero offensive points for the 3rd time this season = knee jerk

I thought the punt team was on the field, is Fisch running the special teams also? Maybe that explains why he's so bad.

Quote:It may be true that Fisch isn't the best OC, but I never said he was. I just said it wasn't his fault as to why all of our plays get blown up.
Actually, this is correct. It's not all Fish's fault... This O-Line is the worst thing I've ever seen. BB5 rarely has time to throw it. B5 is also a rookie, so he's not 100% in command of everything.
But with that said, there's alot going on with the offense that just isn't working and he just doesn't seem to know how to properly scheme/playcall/etc to get the most out of the offense.
Let's face it, scoring 13 points per game just isn't going to get it done.

I just said it wasn't his fault as to why all of our plays get blown up.Did you even bother to read my post or just come up with your opinion without reading what i said? Where in my post do you find anything that even remotely sugeests that am calling you out for insuating that Fisch is the best OC...........or even a good one? For that matter, what does my post have "anything to do" with anything other than disagreeing with your assessment as to why Fisch should stay and my reasons for backing up my stance? It is NOT entirely his fault for our OL being as bad as they are. But, it IS his fault for NOT adjusting to today's game and running plays specifically designed for Blake Bortles to scramble (as in rollouts) or at the very least call quick passes so he wasn't having to set up in the pocket which was getting him sacked a total of 8 times. This is where it's all his fault for not changing his plays to prevent or at least slow down the mad rush to sack the QB based on the drop back passing plays that were "clearly" not working. That (and only that) is the reason he should be let go. He sucks at adapting his play calling to what defenses are throwing at him.

If you are refering to Ebola-Towel-Gate, I disagree... People are too sensitive!

Look guys, the NFL is a production based business. If you're not getting it done, you're gonna be gone. I think we all see the writing on the wall. Somebody will probably be gone off of this staff in two weeks. My money is on Mallory and/or Fisch. I know Khan is patient, but I don't think he envisioned that the team would be as bad as it is at this point in the rebuild. I think Bradley stays this year and there's changes made at the coordinator and position coach level. There are no moral victories in the NFL.

Scobee isn't learning on the job.
He has to be the longest tenured Jaguar right now.

This is pretty close to the way it is.
I ask again though: are there any immoral victories in the NFL?
I want some kind of victory.

Only thing hurt on Bortles is his confidence and his development. I'm seeing these other rookie qb's getting significantly better each week.

I know I am in the minority here, but I don't hate Fisch. I actually like what he brings to the table. I think he needs one more year. I know, everyone is going to hate that, but last year he had Henne and this year, well, the O-line is porous at best.

He's learning a lot about himself and the patience required to put up with this garbage
