If the playoff selection committee cared enough about that, FSU never would have been in the top four. The only reason they are ranked that high every week is their record. I hope they lose Saturday.

Actually I want FSU to lose because that increases the chances of Ohio State getting in, but I agree with everyone who wants GT to play spoiler.

That is what the playoffs are for - to decide it on the field. The problem is only four teams instead of eight get in, so someone deserving of a playoff bid gets shut out.

I can't find the 'grit' comment, maybe it was espn talking about the rankings and not Jeff Long. But he has talked about game control, then switches to wins over current top 25 teams, then wins over bowl eligible teams, then to the rankings at the time games were played, and it all seems contrived from the outside to justify whatever opinions the committee has going in.

The better team won the game. Should, could, or would dont mean anything. FSU had its worst statistical game and still won. At the end of the day wins are what count and to have a power 5 conference that is undefeated be ranked below one loss teams is ridiculous. Someone mentioned on this thread FSU should be lower and that's a funny comment...i have to think they were being funny because if they weren't then I strongly question their football logic. This team has not lost a regular season game in 2 full seasons...does anyone realize how incredibly difficult that is in college? This team deserves to be in the playoff and this committee has been anything but consistent. Bottom line FSU is in if they win....just sad the lack of respect for an undefeated power 5 team.

Has he played at the same level as last year? No but he's coming through when it matters most. Look what happened to Blake Sims last week. He threw 3 picks and was one more mistake away from being benched. Winston would never be benched for his on field performance because Jimbo knows that the kid is clutch. You can say that Florida should have won that game but they did not. FSU got the W just like they did the previous 27 games and every single other team they played went home with a loss.

I never insulted anybody directly.  it was a generalization about fsu fans throwing a fit. sooooo, ya settle down

 

plus its not even really an insult.  they are being babies.  my facebook feed is full of whining.  and it's all for nothing.  win and you're in.
