I don't give two damns what you think.. There's more apples for ya.. Sooner or later, you'll be able to make a pie..
Quote:Not at all. It was a we are better then SEC. Beating chests and proclaiming that this weekend proves it.
First thing I got coming into work this morning was two chest beating ACC fans. One an NC St, another an FSU fan.
Seems like all the SEC chest beating has rubbed off on some fans... I'll give you that as I have seen it as well. If you can't beat them then join them, right?
You getting used to that avatar?
As far as the topic goes, I'm not sure why people care so much what Jameis does in the pros. He is a great college QB. That is all that matters to me unless of course the Jaguars draft him (which they won't). I mean, I'll definitely keep my eye on how he does in the pros, but why do gator fans care so much?

everyone cares, just like everyone is keeping tabs on manziel. it isnt just gators fans. you FSU guys are just overly concerned with the gators fans' opinions. theyre all you think about. i think we keep you up at night.

FSU fans sure seemed to rub it in the face of Gator fans with Tebow....
Bortles is going to be a star, so UCF is good!

No, Obviously you do care, your replies reflect that. I simply called out an asinine comment you made. You didn't like it, so be it. If you didn't care, ignore me, but that's shown to not be the case.
How you like them apples?

I'm not overly concerned, I'm simply commenting on a thread. Lol, if the gators had won then yeah, maybe they would keep me up at night (as I'm sure I would have received dozens of texts throughout the night). The gators just aren't a team that we've had to worry about in a while. You keep hurting our strength of schedule.
You just seem to be obsessed with Jameis and how he is going to do in the NFL. I don't get it, but by all means...

I think that was more in response to the constant threads and those fans shoving him down your throat. I don't really see that with Jameis and Nole fans. It was nice validation after he sucked in the NFL and did as most sane people predicted.

The beating of the chest doesn't bother me at all. Live it up, doesn't happen much. I just found it funny because it was widely said that only SEC honks cared about that stuff.
Oh and this. Same thing I said yesterday.
@davidpollack47: The ACC's best 4 teams beat the 5th, 8th, 10th & 13th best teams in the SEC this week. 3 were favored, league still ranked last in power 5

I don't care about conference pride. I'm remarking on what I have seen.
Lol, the bold is what I don't get. Why the need to even defend it?

Because the ACC fans had no problem pointing it out and using it as a source of pride?

Just facts. Nothing more. If ACC fans want to pound their chest, then this fact is valid.

Who cares? I mean, obviously people do care since there is a thread about it, but I just don't get it .

I'm not arguing with you. I'm agreeing with you. I'm just simply stating that I don't care.

Scroll through this thread. The reasons are there. Same ones I've said on here I bet over 50 times.

I've seen the reasons. Still don't get it.

I think the ones who don't "get it" don't want to.
The reasons are pretty valid.

Has nothing to do with not wanting to. I just get anything out of cheering for another team. Honestly, I should root for the gators to go undefeated until they play us. It makes sense no? But I never do. Ever. There is a great argument to want to play in a weaker division. It gives you a better shot at making the playoffs. So I guess it goes both ways. I just don't get rooting for another team simply because they are in your conference. But by all means, root away...
I think what we are seeing though is more of a backlash towards the SEC. You hear fans chant it and constantly talk about how great the SEC was/is. Same thing with tebow. I think we are seeing fans rooting for the ACC simply because of SEC arrogance.

Come on JT....you can stop being stubborn and admit you get it now and that you've been wrong this whole time about why the ACC started doing it last year. We won't hold it against you for being wrong! :Woot:

If you can't hope that UF goes 11-0 until rivalry week, then beat them, because it only helps your standing nationally and in the playoff (or BCS picture) then I don't know you can ever understand it. It is a means to an end. It is simple.
You want FSU to win a national title? Why not root for the best possible way for them to do so. A strong ACC means a strong/er FSU, and a stronger ACC/FSU gives them a smoother road to the playoffs. Instead of wondering why FSU keeps dropping in the playoff picture over the weeks, they'd probably still be #1 with a stronger conference, an undefeated Florida, etc.
Instead of wondering if FSU will be kept out of the playoff with a loss, they can rest easy and know that wouldn't be the case with a better conference/schedule. The SEC didn't have to worry about that.

I did admit it. Regardless of the reason, fans are chanting ACC and I did hear it at the sports bar I was at during the game. Do you think I'm wrong for why they are doing it? I mean, I think it is at least part of it.
