The Twitter feed from all the 1010XL homers...the sheer agony is delicious.

How can any Gators fan say there is a best part of losing a must-win home game regardless of what people say on Twitter?

what if the gators were playing ohio state for the national championship?

The OP would have rooted for the Gators, of course. I was specifically questioning his logic.

The OP isnt a gators fan. What would you do if those 2 teams played?

Be disappointed for a 3rd time! :-)

Root for Ohio State, of course. But I would never say "the best part of the Gators losing" is crap people say on the Internet.

And mad at anyone who says "the best part of the Gators losing."

All I see is the local Gaters-infested media who haz a sad.

Sweet like rich hot chocolate on a cold winter night.

"the best part of the Gators losing" is the gaters losing. Again. So we get to enjoy the schadenfreude.

Here in Gainesville I never think about needing hot chocolate on a cold winter night. That is for Buckeyes fans who traveled to Minneapolis for a snowy game.

Only if you are a Gator hater.

Guilty as charged, unlike certain FSU football players.
OP probably went to UNF. Most people don't enjoy other's failures unless they are insecure.

Yep, nailed it. I'm the king of insecurity.

And you shouldn't talk down about UNF, it's been a fine institution for the people of Jacksonville. Not that I went there, but I employ a lot of people who did.
Best part is Muschamp era is over

Yep...you don't see any Gator fans on here being miserable about losing today.
It was part of a perfect college football weekend. The noles win, miss st loses, and the icing on the cake a heartbreaking loss for gator fans at home to their old ball coach spurrier. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Its great to be a Nole.

That's the thing that confuses me. Gator fans would much rather lose today, win next week, and lose against FSU if it means Muschamp is out the door.

If he were to have won out, no matter how good or bad the wins were he probably would have kept his job one more year. We don't wan't that for a second.
