It's concerning that he continues to make boneheaded plays, because it shows a lack of situational awareness (dangerous throws inside either 10 yard line), but he'll learn

I said "more" willing...... They're bad in the sense that he's repeatedly making the same mistakes, and he doesnt comprehend the situations well enough.

That doesnt mean he shouldnt be starting. Ive said from the beginning that he needs to get this out of his system this year (while others would have been content for this to happen next year). He's the best qb on the roster, but as ive also said, that's a low standard. He needs to show improvement in the second half of the year though.
Point is, caldwell said a few weeks back that they thought there was a chance he could play this year..... Why on earth didnt they bring in more vets to play around him?

Because they knew this would be a learning process regardless? The team is playing well around Bortles, however, so I don't see your point.

They tried.   Two got hurt. Two others took more money or better teams over Dave's offer.

Since January 2012 - they've said at least 100 times that they'd build through the draft.  This is the hard part of taking that approach. Waiting for youth to mature.

Yeah, it's hard to stomach at times, but I'm excited about watching the Robinsons, Linder, Bortles, Hurns, Ryan Davis, Abry Jones,  Telvin Smith and others as they look to become longterm contributors.

Besides --   If Bortles had been throwing to Emmanuel Sanders, Vincent Jackson, Reggie Wayne and Jerry Rice he'd still have the 10 picks right now.  He might have 2 more TDs  - but the INTs would still be something a rookie with his rawness would suffer through regardless of the receivers.

He's making bad decisions, and older players around him doesn't fix that.

"Lets throw 6 or 7 rookies out there, just as an experiment. Im sure it'll be fine."

You're quite the presumptuous one, ain'tcha, happy to call the race at the halfway mark.
Quote:That's fine just as long he's not running the offense next year I don't care where he ends up. I hope he does get a HC job, I've got nothing against him I just don't care for his offense. I want him to succeed but I don't see that happening here.

Yawn, calling for the OC, because seven rookies can't execute plays. Brilliant. It's all the OC. A new OC would have us 8-0 and dominating on offense with the same said rookies. Give me a break. I think you're all going I be very disappointed when he's not fired.
