Quote:A lot can happen between now and draft day.

But if RB is the target there, at this stage, I can't see anyone but Fournette.
agreed
Quote:Great post, as always.

Interesting what you said about the running backs. I don't think I would be upset with Fournette, even though I would prefer Cook.
The main problem I have with Cook is fumbling.

I've seen him fumble twice in big games without him being hit.  I don't like that.

The different allegations against him are of some concern, but based upon what I know would not be enough to dissuade me from drafting him.  But the fumbling may be.

fumbling is TC pet peeve with RBs.

What was that phrase he coined?

"Callous disregard of the football?"
Had issues with Barber who he finally coached to hold the ball different and was better later in his career and also David Wilson their 1st round pick RB who was benced because of fumbling issues

Completely forgot about him (Wilson).

As a matter of fact, when I read your post, I drew a complete blank on the guy.

So we know ivory isn't in good graces now right?
Quote:He had a battery charge and was found not guilty.  Most accounts seem to think it was a witch hunt by the "victim" but who knows?

And animal cruelty.

I would say not.

Thing is I can't recall too many big backs with fumbling issues.  That's what bugs me about Ivory this past season.

But looking back at his numbers, it has been an issue with him in the past.

Just another reason i could see Tom liking Fournette in the 1st. Not to mention im sure what ever they can do to help Bortles out this year is high on the list and getting LF would be a huge plus along with trying to imrove the oline which im sure they will do with FA and the draft

I would be fine with LF at 4. But I've started to like Adams a lot lately. We again look to have so many options, so I can't complain!

The good news regarding Adams-within the context of this thread-is that TC has shown himself willing to draft SS in the first round with Donovin Darius here and Landon Collins with the Giants.

However, those were late first round picks.  He's never taken a S with any pick in the top half of the first round.

It would be interesting to see if he were open to Adams or Hooker, considering they are excellent prospects.

i like adams a lot too. But i think a healthy LF could help this team more than Adams. I think its a safe bet we look to improve the oline as well so an improved oline with a 100% healthy Fournette sounds pretty good. I do like Adams a lot though, 4 is high for a SS though. I can't remember a safety going that high

I remember the Lions taking Bennie Blades 3rd overall in 1988, the Browns taking Eric Turner 3rd overall in 1991, and I remember Sean Taylor going 6th overall in 2004.

I remember Taylor as well at 6, Berry went at 5 but there is no safety in this class on Berry or Taylor's level. I thought Landon Collins was the best safety to come out since Berry and he proved it this year on the field. Adams reminds me of Collins though, Hooker looks like the real deal as well. I think people go a bit overboard though when they compare him to Ed Reed

D'oh! (Berry)

Hooker has incredible range and hands to make the INT.  I don't know if anyone has the kind of instincts for the position Ed Reed had.

Most dont remember Ed went in the 20's in his draft too. That being said, I am all for taking talent when you see it. Hooker is talent, and I am cool with him at 4. I want Fournette, but hey, cant I'll take either Adams, Fournette, Cook, Hooker, Allen. I dont think I can go wrong here. Hell, throw in Corey Davis.

I remember, Ed Reed had 21 INTs at Miami. Reed was elite at Miami. Safeties just didnt get drafted that high
