The best secondary that Jax has ever had was under Perry lol.

Has Fewell's name been linked to us or is this speculation?

Also, how was he as a DC? Maybe Wash will go?

One #Jaguars defensive "change" is a no-brainer: Expect Wash, if retained, to hire a DL coach.
Yaw Albert Breer says they were told they would have their jobs previously. Think this was before Coughlin was in the picture too.

Says one coach who was sure he would have his job is going.
I think eventually Wash will be a good DC. Right now I would rather have someone proven.

Scrap the Seattle defense.  It was supposed to get you more out of less.  It never has done that.  And at this point, your getting less out of more.  LEO and OTTO positions have been complete duds.

Pepper Johnson comes to mind as a possibility as Doug Marrone's choice as DL Coach.   He was the Bills DL Coach in 2014 and was with the Jets in that role the last two seasons.   Todd Bowles decided to go in another direction at that position and many others on his coaching staff for the 2017 season.

It was speculation on my part.  Nothing more at this time.

Being that Tom Coughlin replaced him as DC with the GIants,   I think there's a much better chance he comes back to Jacksonville as a DB Coach than as a DC.

These coaches are smart enough to run different schemes, but I don't know why we'd keep the same defensive coordinator if we do change it. If we're going to ask them to do different things, I feel like it'd be smarter to bring in coaches who have consistently coached that scheme.

But they're dumb.  They're not making any staff changes.  What the hell...I'm totally confused now.

<div>  Not a surprise.  Especially,  with Perry Fewell available.

DeWayne Walker among the assistant coaches not being retained by Doug Marrone. That dude can coach. Should be a defensive coordinator

EDIT: already posted above, sorry.

Fire Wash please.
@jasonlaconfora Marrone will be making many changes on offensive side as well, but keeping OC Nathaniel Hackett and TE coach Ron Middleton

Lol.

I think everyone knew you'd criticize those that were fired and those that were retained. You're as predictable as the sun.
