Hackett should stay, IMO.
Quote:DeWayne Walker among the assistant coaches not being retained by Doug Marrone. That dude can coach. Should be a defensive coordinator per Jason La Confora

Ummmmmm

So because Jason La Confora says he "can coach" your questioning the move? Come on man try to think for yourself, is it possible that the Jags view DeWayne Walker as "upgradeable"? You don't think Tom Coughlin and company know what they're doing?
Ramsey felt "caged", Gipson felt like a "baby-sitter", and House felt he was held back for "personal reasons". Are we really upset about Walker going?

But if you dont change the vanilla scheme it will not matter.

How do you know they're not changing it?

That's what people are trying to get through to you. Gus isn't in charge anymore. You don't think Marrone will change the scheme?

Hackett has been with Marrone since his Sryacuse days. Did you seriously expect him to go? All he did was use Olsen's playbook.

Like good lord guys, IDK what you are expecting. He isn't canning a guy that he has worked with long-term AND never even had a chance to implement his ideas/use his own playbook last season.

Ok so stop complaining about something that hasn't happened

My main problem with Hackett is he's a QB coach who oversaw one of the most striking breakdowns of an NFL quarterback mechanics in recent history.

Theres really only so much you can do in season. The work that REALLY needed to get done to make a difference was the offseason stuff with House that olsen blocked. But using what Blake came in with and trying to fix that during a season mid game is pretty difficult.
- Hackett was running Olson’s offense

- Wash was corrupted by Gus and can change the current scheme

Are we going with that?

This, he also works under Olsen. Olsen told Bortles to not work on mechanics in the offseason and focus on working with WR's. Bortles mechanics continued to deteriorate into the season. Makes me think Olsen didn't really give two [BLEEP].
