Quote:There so much a chef can do with mac n cheese. Swiss cheese like the OLine
Agreed. Our ingredients are not top grade, But they ain't government cheese.
Quote:I'd say Henne is a below average QB. He's not bad. Just below average. He's a backup. Nothing more, nothing less. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Maybe a little below. His performances have been hindered by the OCs constantly changing and the lack of supporting talent for sure. I think most people support the idea that he's mostly suited as a backup.
Quote:Henne is a hot, stinking, flaming, heaving, sloshing, pile of garbage.

This is what I'm talking about in case anyone was wondering.
Quote:What?

It's like Prisco says, you don't have to be a trained chef to know what tastes good.

Anyone who really thinks it's not okay to call obviously bad players bad is a moron.
... you lost me with "Reasons why Henne simply has to play well"

That's an oxymoron  (Henne  // Simply Playing Well).

Quote:Ok. Still translates to bad play calling. You have to call plays to the stregnths of your offesne and Fisch has failed to to that. Also, Henne is hot, stinking, flaming, garbage.

You have to have strengths to actually play to them. So far those are dropping wide open passes and running into eachother on the field from the receivers. From the line, it's no one that can get to the second level on a run play.

When plays are executed properly, they're all designed to work. It's that simple. At some point, you just have to expect players can and will execute the play called.

Dirk Koetter called horrible plays here right? Probably not a single similar play in Atlanta's playbook.

That is some description of the Jags current QB right there.

I have heard it said that you have to have the right personnel to run certain offenses and defenses or they just won't work.

It's almost like the Jags are trying to run an offense that they just don't have the personnel to run, and that's why they look like they do on offense. Inept.

And that goes for the o-line too.
Quote:Here in lies the debate. Some will say a good chef can take crap ingredients and make them delicious. A lousy chef takes the best ingredients and ruins them because he is poor in his execution of the recipes.
Kinda' reminds me of an old saying I used to hear when I was in the Navy years ago...'you can polish a (bad word removed) for a long time.. but in the end it's still just a (bad word removed).'

Does it rhyme with word?

More like curd.
I don't know if what I saw was authentic and it probably isn't, But I saw a supposed leaked text from Bortles that said, and I paraphrase, " I was in Dave's office and they told me we're going to start Henne this week, but be prepared to take over at halftime and for the next 15 years.....I almost cried".  I hope it was legit....

There's nothing wrong with dreaming.
Henne will continue to play as bad as he has for the last 2 weeks

What are the strengths of this offense?

Any way you slice it... you probably throw like a girl but are very critical of professional football players.

All fans do it. Its not "wrong", just the way it is

So far they've mastered this play:

Ahh...the classic QB sky view grass roll down.

please... don't be absurd!
This thread reminds me of an interview a reporter had with a rice farmer during the Viet Nam war. The reporter asked the rice farmer what he would do if the Americans were to win the war. He responded that he would continue to grow rice. When asked what he would do if the communists won, he said he would continue to grow rice.

Bortles is "gaining experience" holding a clipboard on the sidelines. If he was on the field playing, and got hurt ( which is the prime reason that I assume we don't want to put him in), then I guess he'd end up "gaining experience" holding a clipboard on the sidelines.
