Quote:The more I read this quote...don't we all "still feel really strong about Henne"?

I was thinking the same thing. He doesn't say HOW he feels, just that he "feels strongly". He's not answering the question completely which I can't decide if that's good or bad. I want him to be honest, but I'm glad he doesn't throw Henne under the bus.

You may be right, but my bet is many other reasonable fans will be there besides him.

You, on the other hand, will forever be under that dark cloud that follows you around.

Gus was fairly non-committal, and any praise he gave Henne was tepid, at best.
Quote:Did you all expect anybody but "Chad the Man Henne" to start. Banana

Gus has a lot of problems to fix before throwing the rookie into the mix. And yes we will win some games  or maybe they will just tank the season. Either way I will go to the game(s) since I paid for it, have an over priced ( at least its cold) beer and watch the games to see our team get eating up and maybe they'll pull one win, and then we'll all start talking about the playoffs. B)

LOL... I love your theory on the overpriced beer. It may be ridiculously overpriced, but at least it's cold... that's good because everywhere I go for draft beer serves it warm. Big Grin

On Bortles, the kid has the tools to avoid the sack, and he's not a skinny noodle that can't take a hit like David Carr was. He'd be absolutely fine being thrown in there.
Quote:Really? Two games in the rebuilding year, no playoff expectations and some are ready to boo before the game starts?

Stay yer [BLEEP] at home. Thankfully its not nationally televised. Not only would the team be a laughing stock, but the fans as well

Yes, game two of rebuilding year six, or seven, I've lost count at this point.

How dare us want better!
Quote:don't know about that, Indy's defense is not that good

Neither is Washingtons!

I just hope the nursing home I may be in will have TVs for me to watch my beloved Jags finally do well in.
Bradley talks like a man who does not have full authority and knows it.

They have two pro bowl edge rushers a pro bowler in the front three and one of the most under rated corners in the league. They aren't the Seahawks, but they're better than Indy.
I'm just glad, for the sake of our O-line and Henne, that Robert Mathis is out...

At least we have that going for us...

Just watched the presser. Those upset about henne starting.... Gus sure seemed noncommittal and left the door wide open. He even seemed to answer one question like he was caught off guard by it. Blake will be starting soon IMO.

But he said he played well....with a follow up "but" in that comment.  Clearly Gus is committed to Henne as the starter based on that comment.  Rabble rabble rabble!
Flashback...All the lame excuses being used for Henne now were being used for Gabbert before we traded him, just sayin!

Quote:"Henne performed well."

When you get a new owner, new coach and manger that's when it starts. The team was gutted.

It's been a hoorible last 7-8 years. But we weren't rebuilding.

I'm betting I've been attending these games longer than you and most others here.

You don't have to tell me about getting better and being sick of not even being mediocre.

But it's been Brunell vs Beurlein. Leftwich vs Garrard. Henne and Gabbert. Now Henne and Bortles.

Don't use facts. They confuse some people.
New chant to be repeated Sunday - "Play ugly for Ogbuehi."

I'm sitting here looking at my ticket to the game this weekend. It kinda feels like my personal ticket to a slaughter house tour..
