Khan should give his GM free reign on everything football wise.


He should also give us our teal colour back.

Tony Khan has zero to do with Dave Caldwell, which has zero to do with the coaching hire or the players brought in via draft or FA. Tony is the sons owner, who probably will own the team one day. Dave Caldwell is responsible for anything personnel wise. I will agree that Shad wanted his son to run the analytics and the team was invested in some capacity with it, but even Caldwell said its a very small portion. 

 

Yes, the job at the time wasn't something an experienced coach would be highly interested in, but Caldwell had many interviews and ultimately chose Bradley over a variety of candidates.

How is it any different than what your doing now? You keep saying how Shad is a hands off owner and has no hand in anything. Do you have evidence to back this up?

 

I'd say Caldwell saying as much in his presser is a hell of a lot more evidence than anything you've said thus far. If that was "coach speak" at the presser, than Caldwell threw Shad, Tony, and Lamping under the bus big time by what he said.

You honestly believe Caldwell through the entire organization under the bus in his presser. 

 

I guess I am tone deaf because that is a stretched interpretation and honestly, if that were true, the owner would of fired Dave for that.

Gruden would've been better, but how much is debatable. He certainly wouldn'tve been the worst coach in history that we got.

Because he's employed by the man the actually owns the team?????????  That "owner guy" can do whatever the hell he wants. Maybe try grasping that?

Obviously, the owner has the final say at the end of the day, but this hands off owner kept his hands off the football operations, as he said he would, a little too long. Dave Caldwell, yes, had the final say in personnel decisions including hiring Gus Bradley and anything which involved adding players to the roster.

No, it's clear he didn't when it came to Bradley. You're just refusing to admit it.
