Lol, comparing your fanbase to GB!

Indy literally knew it was hosting a playoff game for about a month before the season ended, GB was scrapping for their division right up through the end of the season and only won it by, literally, 1/2 of a game. They were 8-7-1 and the bears were 8-8.

Of course that doesn't even touch on the passion. You'll never see a packed Indy stadium in sub-freezing weather to watch a sub.500 team (hence why there's a roof on indy's stadium), in GB they have a 30 year long waiting list.

Congrats on showing yourself to be completely arrogant and out of touch with reality.

Where did I compare Indy's fan base to GB? Are you making stuff up now? Of course Green Bay has a larger & more passionate fan base. They're one of the best, if not the best in the league (I stated that a few posts ago, but of course you skipped over it).

I stated a fact. Green Bay, Cincy, & Indy all needed extensions to sell out for the first wild card game and the Colts are the only ones to "have pathetic fans". It was an NFL issue, not a fan issue like I said.

The difference is those other two teams didn't have a home playoff game locked up at the beginning of December.

Keep spinning it, though. It's not like they try to sell all the playoff tickets the week of the game, the fact that your team couldn't sell out with a full month of effort says a lot about the kind of people that live in Indy.
In defense of Indi fans, its hard to sell out a playoff game when its unsure your team will even be in the playoffs.  The Jaguars had that issue when we were in the playoffs previously.  Of course we were labeled a terrible fan base by the media, and ignoring the actual facts.

Hence the fact that the colts had the division sewn up a month ahead of the wildcard.

It's understandable that they had to scramble to sell tickets in places where they literally only knew there would be a playoff game a week before it happened, but Indy doesn't have that excuse, they had the division won early in December.

Actually, IIRC single game tickets opened earlier that week of the wild card game. Yes, season tickets holders had about a month, but as far as everyone else? They only had a couple days to buy tickets. NFL issue.
I think PFT summed it up best when they said this explains the reason why he was carrying 26K in cash, he was going to give it away.

I'm late to the dance on this thread, but FBT is right on target. What's being swept under the rug in the national media is that this sociopath, coming straight out of rehab and also right after screwing Indianapolis out of hosting the Super Bowl, showed his remorse by immediately getting caught up in yet another court case in Morgan County here. DCS case where he's being accused of doing drugs with some guy's wife who he was cheating with in front of her young children.

Idiot Colts fans took those $100 bills like the hopeless patsies they are instead of running this guy out of town. Trust me, there are many more stories just like this one that have never seen the light of day.

Exactly why I will never be a Colts fan and am proud to drive to Jax several times each season.

So now we're picking our teams based on who the owner is?

Hmm - do i go with Mara or Rooney? Gee, that's a tough choice.

Add this to the list of "and that's why I'm not buying season tickets!"

Huh? He lives in Indy. Why would he need an excuse as to why he's not buying Jaguars season tickets, loon??

Lol, talk about weird posts of the year.

So you're saying what I said, your team doesn't have a strong fan base, your season ticket holders were more interested in watching from the couch.

Glad we've come to agree on it.

You do realize that the stadium CAN'T be filled with only season ticket holders, right?

Oh my goodness. You know less than I thought (wasn't much to begin with).

What are you on?

The only seats that count toward the blackouts are the ones available as season tickets. (for teams with really strong fan bases, anyway)

I shouldn't be surprised that an indy fan would be strong and wrong, though.

Sounds like more excuses. Since y'all have had a "sold out stadium" I don't see why the season ticket holders weren't able to "sell out" the playoff game with a one month notice.
What really sucks about a lot of people? Many of them believe they have some reason to believe they are superior to some other group of people that are _____ (insert the perceived inferior group that you wish to look down your nose at in the underlined space that is provided) … Pick one … religion, skin color, nationality, gender identity, political affiliation, nfl fan base, and those heathens that load their toilet paper under instead of over.

Yes, I understand there are experts on the differences between a Jaguars fan, and a Colts fan ... because some people can cite circumstances that empower their in depth knowledge, and dual perspective of the two groups that very few people could possibly have. Like a Christian that may live in a predominately Muslim country. Who's the bad guy? If you can't appreciate another NFL fanbase, just wait til you get to the two biggies … Religion, and the correct way to put your pants on. No two groups do either the same way.

To keep up with the subject, and “sell out” discussion. It wasn't 1 playoff game cost, you had to pay for 2 … around Christmas, when a lot of people with kids had their bank account on life support. Ignore those type of facts, and GB sells out in minutes. Green Freaking Bay. The same group of prickles that would stack the “Click For Can's” contest.

That right there is a “Real” reason to hate a fanbase. Right?

Good thing is? You get to be who you want to be. Ever wonder why so many choose to ignore that option? Ask that question in front of a mirror.

Smile  I love you guys, man.

Tldr:

All clots fans suck....but Sammy gets a free pass. (Until the Jags and colts play). Smile
The only possible reason a Colts fan would try to ingratiate himself on another's team's message board is if the folks on his own team's message board drive him away or completely ignore him.

And, yes, I have clients and friends who know the Irsay family personally. Unfortunately. He would pry a quarter out of the blind man's tin cup without a moment of conscience.

If you're talking about Sammy...those are fighting words around here!! He is a much loved member of this message board.
